Scout baby. Oooohhh yeah.

And I can't wait to see how that tree meshes with the Summoner (Thor), if we ever get this awesome piece of clan tech.

if a scout is ignorant enough to get into AC/20 range and not be behind the person, they deserve it :D

Att/Def. I tend to be on the vanguard of a lance, right behind the scouts.

Atk/Def. I might mix in some commander, but I want to working on long range fire support. So far it looks like a good distribution.

Yeah I am gonna go long range fire support also..... and I figure that is the best role for a commander because he has to turn his attention to the command screen which wouldn't be good for a fast moving scout or a front line brawler.

My sister is a better pilot than I am, so she'll be goign defence, while I go command. She can watch over me in my Catapult, while she will defend my arse, I will be calling in strikes, watching the battlefield, and relaying information to the rest of the team. She will be moving around to support the attacker, watch over the scout, and basicaly being the gofer, going where is needed.

Going to start out with Atk/Def, may transition to scout once i'm comfortable piloting a mech.

Will probably go Scout first.

If Call of Duty and Battlefield have taught me anything it's that staying off the minimap is an extremely powerful buff, so a Null Sig heavy will be right up my alley. The extra HUD info also sounds very useful.

Looks like I'll be hitting up the 'Scout' role early with Ken and Teag.

From the way it looks, it might be fairly beneficial for all roles to be in play as opposed to merely 'Assault' classes, which was the old adage. The 'off-board' bombardment options that the commander tree will hopefully bring the extra damage that a support platform might not have available up front in a face-to-face scenario.

The scout is going to have to be a crafty devil too, picking the right time to assist or ghost out as well....not to mention how much help that is going to bring on the 'Commander' level with the intel.

*Sidebar*

Something that may need to be put on the 'Suggestions' forum is whether or not matches will have players grouped by the role they want to play, as opposed to clumping 12 people together who all play Scout/Assault/Commander. Maybe give an option for their preferred role before matchmaking.

scout=people will ignore your spotted targets and generally fail you

atk/def=people will stay back or rush off and die and generally fail you

commander=you get to play your own little game of whack a mole and people's failures won't affect you.

I'd go for mainly Scout for detailed HUD & radar, and Atk/Def to get AMS range increases. Commander's Danger Close will be invaluable to be savvy for an ambush. To see farther and possibly reduce long range damage? Sounds like a plan.

Atk/Def for me

Since I'll be a noob in this game I want to test "safe mod" first, and not being part of any organisation, I don't see myself commanding anything...Plus I like to blow stuff up a lot so it suits me :)

Tough, tho I would do what my team needs, but if I could pick then i would be a scout. My reason is that it would be great to have speed and weapons and to scout for my team.
