For light mechs...I wonder how the Hollander would do?

Though it's not really a mech, just a Gauss Rifle with legs in its main loadout...though other configs are more varied, and a couple are heavier.

So yes, my vote goes to the Hollander, because from a development standpoint...since two of the pre-Dark Age variants are 45 tons...with two different weight classes on the same chassis...could they get that to work?

Well, it's not the Clan mechs, based on the preliminary description given about them. ;)

OP

The Atlas from MW4 would be pretty devastating, since it had ballistics weapons in both sidetorsos. Clan Gauss, light Gauss and 2 clan ER PPCs was my preferred build for that. It's not as powerful as the Annihilator though. That would be able to fit almost any combo of ballistics and PPCs.
I wonder how exactly they're going to handle the Daishi, in MW4 it could fit triple gauss with room to spare for 2 clan ER large ( pulse ) lasers so let's hope they don't allow that.
Shadow Cat seems a good contender for best long range alpha for weight, and it can fit jump jets so it's likely to be a very dangerous mech if we ever get it. It's one of my favorites so I hope it'll be announced in the inevitable clan reinforcement package. It's massive firepower is mostly due to clantech but even with IStech it'd be rather dangerous, though probably not much more so than a Blackjack. There actually was a mission in MW4 that had you fighting a poptarting Shadow Cat and Uziel, they were every bit as annoying as you'd expect.

'Mechs that would break MWO? Interesting, but there's another side to that coin; 'mechs that couldn't compete in MWO.

My favourite is the Panther - a fearsome light direct-fire support 'mech that would be absolute {Scrap} in MWO.
* 140-rated standard engine? Even with a max engine and Speed Tweak it wouldn't break 100kph.
* A single PPC and a single SRM-4? Not quite what I'd call intimidating, and absolutely sub-par for MWO.

It's too bad, too, because the Panther in MWT is a god.

Not being able to modify armor is going to hurt. Many of them barely have any.

The Kit Fox in particular has roughly the same armor level as a Locust. And has the max speed of a medium. GGCLOSE.

The actual Hollander was 35 tons the 45 ton mechs are technically Hollander Mk2s.Much like how a Marauder is 75 tons and the Marauder II is 100 tons these are different chassis based on the same design.

You can build a "Hollander" on a Raven 4X to play around with the idea.

It does have 3x AMS, ECM, JJs, and comfortably fits a UAC/20 and 3x Mlas. When PGI caves on the armor restriction it's GGCLOSE again.

This thing right here. Pushing it a bit with Clan tech, but just look at it.

The stock version is armed with 10 Ultra-AC/2's, as well as four machine guns, presumably added for trolling purposes. For those desiring a more potent punch the Bane 2 variant swaps the 10x UAC/2's for 4x UAC/10's.

Consider the current MWO combat mechanics and let that sink in for a minute. I'll understand if you want to start screaming uncontrollably.

They don't break MWO, they break the MWO players.

There's a slight difference :)

I would argue that the Super Nova also does not work in Table top Battletech there is absolutley no way six ER-large lasers are needed or practical generating 84 heat in a single turn to apply 60 damage and then shut down for the next turn is not um..good. now 4 clan large pulse lasers and enough heatsinks for continuous fire would be a plan.
6 Er-Lrg Lasers for 60 damage with a turn shut down or 80 damage over 2 turns?

well as you take battle damage. a mech with an execs of guns may find itself missing an arm and 1/2 its weapons but still be 100% effective at using its heat sinks...... yes this is a bit much and i'm reaching a bit.

Uh, Clan mechs that aren't really Clan mechs because their weapons are not totally user configurable for placement, nor are they much better then their Inner Sphere counterparts ?....

Oh wait....

Komodo KIM-2 could cause issues.

For clan, wait for the Dragonfly. Near max armor for its weight class. About as fast as a speed tweaked Jenner. 8 JJ. And still enough tonnage left to mount significant weapons and it won't die from losing a side torso.

WTF? How does something that you don't have to BUY, is noted as not being P2W break the Community? Take a day off 3rdworld, your getting rather stale.

The Mauler comes Stock with an XL, would have to lose that to mount Twin heavy Ballistics I would think. :)
