Occasionally hit reg problems due happen, especially if you have a ping>200. Then again with a ping that high there's only so much PGI could do to help.
Or you could have missed. That's always a possibility.

I've played matches without any issues, and other matches 3 out of 5 AC20 slugs don't register against an atlas. Ping and HSR seem to be the main culprits, and they are working on a fix, eventually.

it's not always ping. there's tons of things that can affect this. Hence, report, take screens and vid if possible. Posting on the forums in the gameplay balance isn't going to do any good unfortunately

Hit reg goes along with that sometimes. I check my ping which it usually 60 or lower and the targets ping. If its good and the next match I have no problems hitting I chalk it up to the server.
Those saying check your computer are not far off either. Frame rate during play matters. I had lots of issues with my old system but not anymore since I upgraded.

It seems like the problem resides mostly at Crimson map. The other night I was shooting with my CTF-3D (AC/20 and AC/10 build) at less than 200 meters a disconected Atlas. He ate my ammo and he didnt die.
My computer is decent enough (core i5, 8 ram, HD 7870) and my ping is always around 125. This is a hit detection problem with AC/20 and AC/10 mostly (cant confirm the other calibers), and its been around for a while.

Needless to say I sent a report.
Oh, also, just today I got into a slug fest with a Highlander in my Victor, the Highlander stopped taking damage even though I gut up behind him and blasted him several times in the back with my weapons.
