Hot detection works.
Infantry suits get killed in 1 hit by any mech weapon, they can also be stepped on or run over. The clan weaponry is available to both sides.
On a fundamental level, the TAG in MWLL functions differently than the tag in MWO, you would know if you ever tagged anything in MWLL.
It is fun, it’s totally free, the developers don’t make cash grabs, and since PGI wont tell us how many people are actually playing every day there is no way to know if MWO is getting more players.

Nice try PGI, but I dont understand why you keep using you alt accounts.

You just have to look at my youtube and see my MWLL videos from early beta. I did play and it did have those problems. I stopped playing when 3067+ tech came into the picture.

Package is $100 too expensive - Top package should not be any more than $140.

The Gold Mechs.....seriously? $500???? Maybe $50... even that is crazy.

68 pages already...they asked for feedback.. and they dont even make any official reply...nice going PGi nice going

at least explain to people something.. whats the point of this feedback then???>

The point is that it separates the rage from the announcement, so the casual observer will not be aware of the problems before they start playing. Look for this thread to vanish before the end of the month

The art is awesome, needs vulture, and needs a far more flexible pricing scheme. Having 210$ up there just to get the madcat and a bunch of other mechs you may not care about (for instance) is exploitative marketing at best, and arm twisting for content at worst.

I understand games are a luxury and they need to be paid for, but give some options for people to pay for what they want rather than forcing them to fork over several hundred in order to have what they desire.

Also, gold module? Seriously? Cut it out please.

My nipples are so raw from all the milking that PGI has done. Founders + Overlord + Saber reinforcements, and now they want us to spend $240.00 on MOAR mechs, with no additional content or UI 2.0?!

Hi All,

Well where do I start. Hmmm.

1. UI.20 Promised but not delivered.
2. Community Warfare Promised but not delivered.
3. Etc Etc Etc .....

Basically this is what needs to be looked at in my opinion.

$240 is way to much money to spend all at once for the vast majority of the community.

Not everyone wants all eight of the Clan Mechs

Some people like myself are only interested in 4 or 5 of them and would like to buy them in a custom tailored package

$500 for a Mech that is painted Gold. Are you really serious?? Wake up and smell the Coffee, that is just plain "INSULTING"

Look at it in the simple economic way of selling things. Supply and Demand. Sell the people what they want not what you think they want. Take the Sony Beta Max and VHS for instance. Well all know who one the hearts of consumers and which one died a lonely death because it was overpriced. The one that died out was the better system but no one wanted to pay that much for it.

Sell the Clan Mechs individually. I do believe when the smoke clears and you count your money in the end you will make a lot more money then with these overpriced packages.

Thanks,
MechLoud

I don't have a problem with pricing (as my forum tags will attest to), though I've always agreed that being able to pick a mech set instead of the tier method would be better (they could just keep the tiers and add sets: double their SKUs - lighter sets cheaper than the big boys).

I only slightly resent them bringing this out before implementing and communicating more on UI 2.0, DX 11 and CW, as well as game modes. I think there would be less nerdrage if they had made the sale for late Jan/Feb. Getting it out in time for Xmas doesn't matter because you can't gift the packages. You can only buy them for your account. I'm presuming that it's to boost their income sheet before end of quarter.

What is really making me hesitant pushing on the buy button is that we don't know how their going to work as far as the changes they said they were going to make to how the clan equipment is going to behave. Hopefully they will run run the sale long enough that the information is available. Then I'll consider buying (and I'm the guy who usually hits the buy button before the page has finished loading).

One other question: Will the Gold Mechs come with a monocle?

When have the lied about CW? As far as I recall they've had the same plan the entire time, Just things took longer than expect which IS expected to happen during game development. I'm looking at you Dogfight module that was delay in SC.

Come Aug 7th when the patrons of the Founder’s Program gain access, the game will still be in Closed Beta 2, with on-going patches added every 2 weeks; therefore, not every feature we have discussed on the web site will be playable. We expect to have each of the features we have announced and discussed on the website (with one exception), in the game by the Open Beta date (which cannot yet be announced other than Summer 2012).

The one exception is the Community Warfare pillar which is a complex system but extremely important. In not wanting to delay the game, logic dictates it be added post-launch. Once fans are completely familiar with creating their 'Mech and pilot trees, the depth of Community Warfare will be added, with the core of the community experience projected to be in-game within 90 days of open beta.

Star Citizen has had more time than MWO. MWO had a very rushed early life. It was barely a year into development when it was forced out the door. That is amazing for any game. BOth officially start development in 2011. I'd say MWO has gotten more done in that time.

And now you get to watch it die in a ball of fire HORAY!!!!!!!

Like many others, I have been here since before the Founders packs. Bought that, and have been waiting VERY patiently for the rest of the "Game" to come along. More packages, more mechs, trinkets for your cockpit, but still no "game". Public release, out of beta! Nope, still no "game". We here all the time that things are in development (various stages) no dates, but they are coming... No 'game'. I for one have a great amount of patience, but I WILL NOT take your word for anything any more. Actions speak louder than words, and your actions obviously tell the community that you cannot be trusted to fulfill your promises, or deliver us a 'game'. I'll continue to play MW:O until you shut the servers down, but I will not put a penny into it, as SO MANY have said, until you deliver the 'game' and stop padding your bank accounts.

What needs to happen BEFORE I even think about spending money on this sim.
-DX11
-UI 2.0
-CW
-Full details on implementation of Clans and Clan tech.
-Full details on IS/Clan matchmaking.

No one responds well to demands, I'm simply stating fact of my intentions. I have a nagging suspicion that a "FEW" others may have the same opinion.

Don't mistake the community loyalty to Battletech/Mechwarrior for blind/deaf/ and dumb.

I agree.

This is unbelievable.

Is it April fools? Did I miss something?

I see MWO like a game of poker. I've been continuing to place money on the table because I felt that by doing so, it will pay out at the end. However, over the last few months my confidence has eroded to a point of near non-existence. Even though you FINALLY introduced some of the clan mechs, they are still 6 months out and will introduce completely new complex balancing points that I just don't think you will get right.

I'm sorry PGI, but $250 buys me 5 brand new AAA title games. I could buy Mechwarrior 2, Mechwarrior 3, Mechwarrior 4 and all the expansions at their new prices for the same price you expect me to pay to get a Timberwolf and some other mechs. And each of those games I listed gave me all you're offering, a single player campaign, and more. This is too rich for my blood. You got to know when to hold'em and know when to fold'em. I think it's time I fold.

You do know that people have been saying that since before closed beta right? Yet it is still here and it's packages taht people seem to claim are such a rip off and a cash grab still sell well.
