What I don't get is how it's not really just straight up incompetence and it's NOT THE TEAM SIZE causing PGI's problems.

Just one look at how they handled 3rd person view from start to finish, including ignoring us screaming in their ear since the start of the game about it. They botched EVERY aspect. They STILL refuse to admit they were wrong from the get go.

Some people *cough cough* have a death grip on the game and are wrecking it all by themselves. If they'd step back and hire some new folks on and not micro manage them, the game is salvageable.

Instead I fear they are going the "one last score" route.

I've said publicly for a long time now that Paul should be fired. He is the worst type of arrogant developer who believes his way is the only way, comes up with all sorts of convoluted ways to change things and never ever listens to feedback.

Looks great, but even in perspective this over the top. I don't think I'll be playing anymore.

Sorry, but mechs are literally what the game is about. Would you really say that tanks are not content in WoT? While I agree that PGI has **** communication (and/or bad planning) regarding vital game features, their content team is putting out stellar work in my opinion. Pushing further, selling content is what keeps the game alive, so really, the beef with new content packages seems misdirected.

Difference being that WoT actually has a community warfare in the form of Clan Wars.
For dominance over a map. You know. What was promised here.

Most of those designs are awesome. I wish the Timber Wolf was a little less "beefy" but I still like it. The price for the packs are reasonable. Not a great deal but not a rip-off either.

I'm happy to see the Clans being developed somewhat.

The gold 'mech prices I honestly don't understand. $500 is steep especially for something you can't hold in your hand. Also who wants a gold mech? I don't even want a gold car. Old people drive those.

I am pretty dissatisfied with the current state of the game. CW and UI 2.0 should have been released before this announcement.

The Invasion is coming? But the Inner Sphere isn't even here...

I honestly am not sure I can put how I feel into words... I just facepalmed when I saw this announcement... I seriously thought it was a joke.

This image sort if explains it all for me, this is my checklist of what needs to happen before I put any more money into this game:

But now... even if they did all of the above, I am not so sure I would ever trust PGI again... I just don't know. Man am I ever ashamed of my overlord and gold tags. :D

He isn't the only one that needs to be fired, but starting with him would be a great start! Art team is WONDERFUL. Rest of the team...Meh. Marketing team should be shot.

Well when I seen Phoenix Project I jumped right in. As for when the clans info popped up literally when I got out of match, the 4 man I was in spent the next 30 to 45 min just stairing at the page of wonder, possibilities, and great things to come. Then we all looked at the prices ... not bad for the 240 USD package it cost 10 dollars a mech and look at the cool stuff that comes with. Clan mechs cost about 26 MILLION C-Bills anyway or there about ball park. So for those of us with out premium time it is a great package and worth it.

Then for some odd reason we scrolled down and seen 500 USD for one mech? Is that even right? You get a gold shiney mech for 500 USD? Is PGI wanting to make it a straight up play to win? Heck the new Playstation 4 doesn't even cost 500 USD, why does this? So it turned me off ... not that I would buy a mech anyways that says shoot me I have way to much money (gold is a statement how small your ... is).

So after seeing the 500 USD package literally 3 guys in the group said F-NO ... why? Because they where outrage about the 500 USD that they really don't even know what it gets them that they said walk away from the entire thing. I myself know basically what I am getting with 240 USD so I probably will get that (created a payment plan to have paid for by June), but for 500 USD is a {Scrap} ton of money when there really hasn't been progress (Or shown progress) in the game. For all we know PGI since the development has gone flat a little some customers which have emphatically stated no till CW and no till UI 2.0 and no to a multitude of other items that should have been out by now or at least parts of it to show it is being worked on as we go.

In other words, your marketing strategy just sucks ...
1- lack of development while pushing mechs out looks like money grab
2- lack of information about the packages at high prices is a turn off
3- releasing this around christmas (more like 2 weeks before) is bad idea because no one has the money
4- Phoenix Project hasn't even been completely released yet

So I ask not only that we show progress in the game development, but maybe rethink the marketing strategy before you do something like this again, please. This way you don't anger your player base anymore then what you just did. Over 100 pages on the forum of vial comments and such ... with in 24hrs of release?

How about you check that commercial - don't worry just the first commercial by UPS not the whole entire reel :D

PGi, you leave me speechless. I need a smoke and a break from MWO. Well, i don't know if these forced up prices are a PR stroke of a genius or just insane.

A few months ago a battlefield player told me about the dangers that come with free2play games. I said him that this can't happen to MWO. He will laugh at me :D

I feel kinda insulted that content that was promised a year and a half ago is still probably going to be another year down the road (my CW estimate) and yet they want us to pay even more money for what appears to be a botched clan omnimech implementation.

Sorry, no more money until we get the content we have been promised.

It is quite obvious that the community here is reallyx100 very unhappy with the current game and yet PGI chose to brush us all aside. What they want is obviously already, MILK THE MONEY OUT FROM THE FRANCHISE!

i cant wait to see these mechs on the field

i also cant wait to see all the hypocrites in this thread be the first out of the gates with them on release day
just like project phoenix , just like the founder program
all the same comments
prices to high, package selections bad, we hate you for reason X

every sale package they have put forth has sold more than their last
we even go through this on a smaller scale each time they put out a hero mech

we all know most of you are going to buy these
no matter how much you claim otherwise

you are right, i wont lie i would die to get an Adder but the Prices to get the one mech you would really like to have?
i will buy them probably but really only when they get UI2.0 going and CW those are the minimum requirements.

It's just a snippet of what's been promised. They'd have to add more maps and game modes, return collisions they've taken out 'temporarily' so long ago, reintroduce R&R in a manner that makes sense and is tied to CW, add an OST we were promised, fix those damn "Auto Detect: No signal" screens which they hadn't touched since the earliest days of the Family and Friends alpha, bump up the graphical fidelity of the game to be at least on-par with old-gen releases and actually have a plan of what to do AFTER they receive the Clan package money, unlike it was with the Phoenix packages, which were only good for funding the development of the Clan package by the looks of it.

They fooled me once with the founder's program. Because I was short of cash I just got the 30$ package. I bought the Phoenix package. If they had said we need $$ to finish CW I would have spent some more money on that.

I won't get fooled again.

No CW, no money from me.

If the business model is releasing pretty mechs for the richer and/or foolish fanboys instead of working on the core game then I'm out.

They gave bonus variants to half of TRO3050 Clan Omnis. Not one per weight class, but half of them. It feels... unifnished. What's your opinion, will they later sell reinforcement packages for other half? (Dasher, Koshi, Dragonfly, Fenris, Vulture, Loki, Gargoyle, Gladiator)?

4 Addon packs in the next weeks. 75$ for 2 Premiummechs + 4 Std variants.

Nice to see that because of PGI's ineptness at getting anything regarding Community Warfare completed the Clan Invasion, one of the most defining events in BattleTech history probably, is reduced to little more than an overpriced Black Friday sale.

Sorry, there's no galaxy spanning event for the Clan Invasion, there's no month long in-game PR campaign to get everyone hyped for the arrival, the first planets to fall to the Clans won't actually happen.

Because PGI couldn't finish a user interface.
