I am Legendary Founder and Overlord package owner, not mentioning some MC purchases. I think I have invested in this explicitly underdone game quite enough to expect something in return.
Yes, I understand, that I payed for mechs and mechs were what I received, and it seems legit.. But I was doing it with a different game in mind, the one that Devs had promised a couple years ago and the one that even now is far, far over horizon, if somewhere.
Founders pack was bought with an open heart and a sheer trust. Overlord was representing my hope, a last chance to Developers. Take this money and make us what you have promised from the start. I don't want my money back, but I wanted to see the game improve with them.
As of now.. I CAN afford the highest tier of a Clan pack, and though I'm not a Clanner and would never fight for a Clan, I'm not against riding a Clan mech for a while or at least own something so iconic.
BUT I will NOT buy it.
Not until I see this game is making a step in the right direction, which is actually opposite from the current one.
I am a hardcore BT fan, I came here for what BT is - rival Great Houses with intricate politics, countless worlds of the Inner Spere, star travels, Faction or Mercenary Mechwarrior's life and times, economy.. Communication..
What we have of this all - a dozen of over-trodden dusty maps without any context, with only a couple of them having some logic and a good sense of scale? A gang of mixed faction pilots fighting another gang of mixed faction pilots, NOW with 6 new mechs and a new camo skin!? NOW with another 8 new mechs!? Another pack of mechs stomping the same few maps in the middle of the same pointless nowhere... Seriously?
But that's what the Devs are doing. I am waiting for CW to finally start playing REAL MWO, all the time I feel like I'm just training and the real game is to start.. SOON™..
..and they start making UI 2.0, which I actually don't care about in the slightest, as it offers nothing interesting in itself, it's actually more of a bug-fix to the UI. Both CW and UI are progressing like this: the Devs say "now we start working on CW and UI!" and go making new mechs every month and sometimes a map, then in a half of a year they say "now we really start working on CW and UI!". Then in another half a year they say "We were busy with bugs, but we were working on CW and UI all this time, really, they just look like we weren't, but we were". Good try? Nah.
For me the undercooked plan for CW-something that was presented on the Launch event, clearly shows that CW is but a hollow husk with a crust of lies. That stuff was obviously not touched since the first promises long time ago, and is full of strange, and I'm so not sold to it.. As well as to all new content they promise - some extremely murky game modes that don't add anything to the game and don't look awesome, especially considering the time it took to develop them at all!
I am sure the devs have already covered their expenses for the development, they don't look motivated to bring epic of the Battletech to the board, only Battlemechs, always more mechs. It certainly doesn't look like the money make this game better.

Come on guys. YOU NEED the boxy arm.
It's CLASSIC!
Excuse me, but classic Summoner always had his left arm this way as depicted. It's AC10 in Prime variant. THIS is classic. It was MW3 that SUDDENLY swapped his hands left to right, and then MW4 finished off the design making both hands boxy *facepalm*.
http://www.sarna.net/wiki/Summoner
As I look at the MWO picture, I can clearly see, that the farther (his right) hand has different construction, resembling classic one, hangs lower and obviously has a boxy weapon slot, though we cannot see it whole. So this rant of yours is totally uncalled for. MWO concept is a really cool and classic Summoner!
EDIT: I noticed the picture where the right arm is more visible, yes, that arm looks a bit strange, but its main form is right. Its look will certainly depend on equipped weapon .

I think you underestimate how much of the buying decision from MW fans comes from a desire to help push the project along and encourage not just MWO to develop, but the development of more MW games (remake of MW3 anyone?). That good will pushes up the price people are willing to pay for new mech packs. And that good will is also evaporating. Fast.

i only play on our trainings days lately, 3 times a week, because i can´t stand the generic matches in PuG modes anymore, and disabling the bases won´t help about it...
as long as PGI is not delivering something REALLY new, i better spend my money on drugs and alcohol... ah i mean other games, yea that was it.... xD

129 pages now uh?
Fine, I read some random comments and I saw at least 3 ppl saying that they are done...
I have seen this happend to a lot of F2P games... saddly theres always a bunch of ret*rds that keep giving them money and while you play some better games they stay stuck in the mud of that failure called "game". That's how bad governments are made btw.
Anyway, devs wont give a single f*ck about it, they never did...

Scheduled release for Thud is December, then January for Battlemaster, February-March for Saber mechs (I doubt they will move to 2 mechs per month before Clans launch). It leaves April and May for two more IS mechs before Clans. One of them could be Flea. I hope the other will be
I hope that then they'll move to 2 mechs per month, so all the Clan package will be out for CBs in 4 months, and then 4 months more for second half of Omnis from TRO3050/

2) many features like UI 2.0 and launch module as well as others like achievements and many others will release BEFORE these clan mechs hit.
LMFAO i swear ive seen that similiar sentence before somewhere :0
On a more serious note:
I understand fully that PGI has bills to pay, hell thier monthly payroll is probly around $100,000 ( 50 x $2000 a month) but at the same time they HAVE to show us where the hell the money is going. right now thier probly like " why are people mad?" cause you dont tell us anything dippy, im not a mind reader! if i was i wouldnt get shot down by women all the time, i'd know already! the only thing i can think of is that they have without a doubt the greatest forum guys ever hiding the complete rage most of us feel on all of thier idiotic ideas. " yeah russ the people are stoked they even came down by the hundreds with torches to save us money on heat for the winter thier all gathered outside!!"
even if you say $200000 -- the original $5M would have covered them for 2 years...

And if you wanna sell goldplated 500 dollars mechs that too is okay, maybe someone wants to buy a golden mech.
I sure as hell wont and i wont pick up the mechs.
Cause enough is enough, there has been no development to speak of in the last 6 months (yeah you nerfed and buffed weapon systems and changed some numbers, wow i guess that really takes some engineering power)
We have been fed with new mechs on a regular basis and been told that cw will be on the way, that you are working on a new game mode, that all will be better with ui 2.0.
To be honest i only see new mechs and no progress since beta.
The communication between devs and community has become worse (no Q&A anymore), the last Inner Sphere news was on the 15th of may.
Damn i have seen more progress in a few underfunded kickstarter projects then in this game not to speak of star citizen where at least i see the money they got from me doing something.
Well maybe a miracle will happen and we will see cw some time but i dont believe in fairy tales anymore so no more cash from me!

I will take pleasure in destroying those golden mechs of yours

Then at the same time, do let PGI know that they ought to come up with a uber mech that costs $1K so that we do not grind so hard to reach the top tier of the mech functionalities.
After all said and done, give them a pat on their back and give them a cold beer cos they will be out of business by then:) Time for a chill dudes! Look for the next job opening
Tho I know PGI needs $$$, but this kind of sick joke pricing.... 1st time ever seen (and should be the last) for the gaming community.
PGI shld just get smart right now and look elsewhere for money.
