2) many features like UI 2.0 and launch module as well as others like achievements and many others will release BEFORE these clan mechs hit.

LMFAO i swear ive seen that similiar sentence before somewhere :0

On a more serious note:

I understand fully that PGI has bills to pay, hell thier monthly payroll is probly around $100,000 ( 50 x $2000 a month) but at the same time they HAVE to show us where the hell the money is going. right now thier probly like " why are people mad?"

250000 a map,
lets say 1/3 for licenses
lets say another 1/3 for what ever
and 1/3 of payment for the people.

Thats around 80000 for payment.
You say 12.5 an hour is what they get.
Thats 6500 hours for a map,
or 800s day with 8 workhours each,
or 8 people working on a map for more then 3 month.

Lets say they get 4000 a month,
then its still 4 people working 100 days on 1 map?

Looks not that believeable for me ...
but what do i know?

I have put in more than a few hundred dollars into this game since I started playing it in Open Beta. I am the type of customer and player you want to keep happy.

My first game - Mechwarrior 3050 (for SNES) makes me want the Mad Cat. BUT these prices are unacceptable.

The only way I would consider these prices is if the Premium Time were increased to 270 days, and perhaps a few other things. AND/OR Serious progress is made in the game's development.

Less said about the Gold Clan the better.

Just a friendly reminder for all.

-While opinions and concerns may vary, we greatly appreciate your mutual respect for eachothers passions for MechWarrior. Please avoid aggro or insulting comments towards one another.
-Try to avoid vulgar language whether positive or negative. Other words can actually be much more descriptive and make your point more clear without necessitating our team to filter or redact. Don't forget to check out the Code of Conduct.
-As this feedback will be processed and directed to the rest of the team, we thank you for any efforts made to have readily-identified, clear and concise questions/concerns.

And now back to our regularly scheduled programming.

You must be loving your job right now. If MW;O goes away does IGP even need Forum Admins?

Is it trolling for calling people out on hypocrisy?

If so, yes, I am trolling.

I've tried giving my input for fixing this game, 2500 posts or so.

I'm over that.

I don't get it. Why is it hypocrisy for people who have invested money in the game to post the fact they're annoyed about development? Surely the fact they have actually paid money means they have more of a right to comment on the game's progress?

Did you mean that they're complaining about the high prices even though they're clearly paying them? I guess that makes more sense. I have no problem paying money - I have a problem with the fact the game is dull and repetitive because they aren't adding new features! Make me want to spend my money I say!

What is the ETA on being able to check the box to "NEVER BE PLACED INTO A MATCH WHERE CLAN MECHS ARE USED/ALLOWED"?

130 pages. Only 15 likes on the initial post. Hmmm?

And 40ish on the FAQ, and several posters have entire pages worth of posts.
Do not assume thread size = unique posters. 16 posters have over 20 posts in this thread... well, you do the math.

PGI really, truly and completely screwed the pooch this time.

Greed is an ugly thing.

Have you even ever purchased anything in this game? Because according to your forum badges, you kinda look like a freeloader

Two pages into the responses to the initial post and I'm seeing a very heavy trend of people not liking PGI's decision. I personally think that the prices are kind of reasonable for the different 'Mech packs, but the $500 gold 'Mechs is just ridiculous (yet I'm sure SOMEONE is going to buy at least one of them).
I also would've allowed people to buy 'Mechs of their choosing at the different price levels rather than saying "Pay this much and get this", just to make it more customizable (I remember hearing some gripe about the same thing in the Project Phoenix sale). I mean yeah, I'm probably going to get the most expensive package just to have all the 'Mechs I want, but that's only if I can afford to spend that much cash. Again.

Either way, I hope this ends up being worth it, guys. Because even from my limited perspective it feels like you may have gone a bit too far and may be risking a bit much.

(On a side note, Stormcrow, Kit Fox, and Timber Wolf, all 'Mechs I needed! Now just give me a Wasp and a Marauder and I can start reliving MechWarrior 3050 again.)

They've been making the same promises for over a year now. With no results.

If you paid for the Overlord Package, you might as well pay for a Clan Package.

Everyone who paid for the Phoenix Project created this situation right here.

Yep - it's like being able to buy a whole set of cool new cars, but there are no good roads to drive them on.

Your comment about set of cars reminded me of something my wife said when I took her to breakfast at ******* Barrel this morning and I explained the pricing package format and the community angst that was going on, (yes she indulges me by listening up to a point).

Mind you this from someone who has never played any computer games.

Her comment was,
"Thats just stupid thats like Ford making you by the Custom, XLT and Larient version of your truck in order for you to buy your King Ranch".

I have to agree. The saddest thing is that many of the comments here are about the expense... and that's it. I wonder if it's because people have just given up believing we'll get anything more than content or is there more to it.

Well, i still believe in PGI to get is all up and running before the Clans are implemented, that's why i not complain about this topic. My issue is still the money!

Yes I've purchased MC twice. I would have been a founder but I was busy buying a house and having my second child at the time.

But that's what's so great about F2P, bro. You don't have to pay for anything they advertise if you don't want to!

Everyone repeat after me...

"We are mad as hell and we are not going to take it anymore!"

"We Are Mad As Hell And We Are Not Going To Take It Anymore!"

"WE ARE MAD AS HELL AND WE ARE NOT GOING TO TAKE IT ANYMORE!"

NOT. ONE. PENNY. MORE. UNTIL PGI DELIVERS ON IT'S PROMISES AND STARTS SHOWING INTEGRITY!

But it kinda invalidates an argument about a company being greedy when you've never spent a dime.

A controversial announcement dropped on a Friday afternoon, giving the community two days to steam over it, and for enough people to calm down to listen to whatever hat-in-hand pity excuse PGI doles out convincing enough of them to shell out $200+ in currently non-existent merchandise.

They know exactly what they are doing.
