I still have over a month of premium time on my Overlord Phoenix package, there are features in that package that are not even live yet (house community warfare bonus on emblems), and the new mech lab isn't even live the on the final release version yet. The timing and price of this is very troubling indeed.

Another thing that concerns me is the general knowledge in the lore and past games that Clan tech was so superior to Inner Sphere in every way. Why it may not be an intentional message to players, it feels like you are telling players that everything they just spent $100+ on in the last package will very soon be woefully obsolete.

yeah, skirmish is the exact same thing of assault sans capping. Wow, took them 18 months to figure that one out?

Oooh, they won't slash prices - they'd annoy everyone who bought in already. They'll add additional stuff that everyone will get who bought the package to encourage more sales and still keep the people who already paid happy.

You're amazing. "Limited availability" IS meaningless marketing-speak in this case. If they don't show how many are remaining then that number can be anywhere from 1 to inifinity; and seeing as they've already started selling these things don't you think it would be important to let the true-believers know how many remain so they can get in on it?

It was the asymmetric look that most appealed to me. They kept it in the sense that the cockpit looks to be off-center, but the arms look pretty much the same, when they really shouldn't. That's what I was talking about.

Yeah. Thankfully these forums represent a tiny % of the actual vast community playing MWO right now, so most likely since PGI is a AAA developer and the leading developer of games in Canada that would never happen.

All you guys complaining about the gold mechs and all are kind of like victims of **** complaining that he used the wrong kind of lube. Take a step back and look at the big picture. Gold mechs are an eyesore, but they aren't the problem. THE problem is that they keep trying to sell us bells and whistles without any product to which we'll attach them later on. The fear is that the bells and whistles are ALL we're ever going to have. Granted, they're pretty and shiney, but they're not what keeps my attention.

And an extra module slot - unavailable to anyone who doesn't have a Gold Mech - which is pure P2W.

(That module slot can be used to carry an Arty Strike, an Air Strike, or any other number of useful enhancements.)
