PGI/IGP,

It is a bit early for an April Fools joke... Isn't it? Oh... You're SERIOUS?! REALLY!?

I have poured enough of my own hard earned money into this project of yours to have purchased 3-4 other Triple-A titles. Despite the monies you are generating I see an egregious lack of promised content.

My wallet proclaims simply: "You shall not pass!".

----- EDIT -----
I am beginning to see a pattern.

Exactly, if you have the money, buy it. If not, wait for the CBill version. Just like with EVERY other mech.

but but if things improved in the next 6 months I would want some mechs and be willing to pay for the hero and other goodies. Thing is I would want the 2 light mechs, not 2 light mechs along with 1 medium mech, 1 heavy mech and 1 assault mech in a more expensive package.

I've spent what some would call a ridiculous amount of money on this game. Last time around, with Phoenix, I was hesitant, and I swore this'd be the last money I dropped on this game. Had you given me something even half the price of this at top tier, I might have reconsidered. But $240 for top tier is simply outrageous. $240 is more than anyone should spend on any video game ever IMHO. I've already spent at least that on this game. I'm as loyal as they come. I've basically played nothing but this for the past year. But this is over the top for me. If it's over the top for me, a "mini-whale", surely, PGI, that's got to make you think you overdid it a bit?

I've been a pretty staunch defender of the game, the company, and the choices made up to this point, but I can't justify that any longer. This is, simply put, milking the player population. Please reconsider this pricing model.

Ok, this has to be some type of Friday the 13th hoax, Sort of like an April Fools joke in December right? You guys wouldn't actually be this ********, could you? I mean it doesn't make any sense! You people haven't even come up with what you promised from the beginning. We don't have community warfare yet and the clans are invading? You guys must be using allot of our cash to buy some pretty good drugs if you think we as a community are going to be ok with this.

Its truly amazing how the MMO industry never seems to learn from the mistakes of others...

This is exactly what CCP did with their Walking in Stations, and avatar clothing being sold for $100.. with the lead designer publicly stating that he couldnt see the difference between people paying $200 for designer jeans irl, so why should a game avatar be different... In conjunction with the disgust of the player-base over the whole "space-barbies" concepts at the expense of significant and ongoing issues being ignored, there was whole-sale subscription cancels that really did cause CCP to buckle..

The only way to get the managers to listen is to use money... or specifically... dont.

Getting major gaming blogs/magazines to laugh at them helps as well!

Well I'm glad we have you to put it into perspective for us. Otherwise one might think they're simply trying to milk the hardcore Battletech/Mechwarrior fans to keep funding the game since the regular sales from the game must not be covering it. ;3

It's okay. They will use the money to have a "Clan Release Pizza Party" in another country.

If you get the minimum daily wage in Sierra Leone, it would take you 2.7 years to save enough to buy the $240 mech pack... without a single day off.

Then by the time you have enough money, Community Warfare Phase 2 might be discussed in a developer blog.

No, they will most likely do a big donation to some obscure charity again.

Its kinda funny that most people seem to ignore that those clan mechs arent tied to being a clanner

Nowhere does it say that you have to join the clans or make your account officialy a "clan" account in order to own and pilot these mechs.

So unless clan mechs get their own special que.. ontop of all the other faction ques in CW you will have mixed IS and Clan tech lances....

Let the balancing nightmares begin!

All I can say is that I've been a good little sheep up till now (see the patches below my name), and even this is not enough to scare me off from the franchise completely, but there is no way on earth i am getting a gold mech unless I hit the lottery or something (in which case I might try to buy out PGI and force them to remove Ghost heat... and implement an Urbanmech).

Yeah, I was hoping to keep pace with the franchise and buying each special package when they come out. Who would have thought that they would pump out these packages every 6 months and start charging Oprah money for them. $500.00 for a gold mech? No way I can keep up with that. I guess I will just have to be proud of my Founders status. In the meantime I will go all Berserker on any Gold Mechs on the enemy team and will use any Gold Mechs on my team as human shields.

Starting to wonder weather they have made the clan mechs almost the same as the IS ones so that they could sell them for just MC for all the people who are crazy about the clans or something...
