really loved the battletech franchise.. but really disappointed for the rights to be given to a bunch of DAS@#!. really greedy move, i cant think of another game charging $500 for a skin. if i know better they are money grabbing before closing the firm and running off with the cash. have spent around $100 which would have gotten me a collectors edition of any other game. and all i still see is 2 game modes 12vs12. the original batteltech rpg crescent hawks inception and mechwarrior 1 puts this game to shame with its gameplay and replayability.. so lame and so dissappointed with how this turned out.

Thre $500 mechs are really no big deal. It is a skin, so it is not like there is a huge investment from PGI's side. And if someone with WAY too much money buys one, that means more money for game development, which is a good thing.

As for the total outlay, it is PGI's job as a company to maximize the money it can make. I have no problem with them doing it this way. Either people will pay for it, which means the model works. Or they won't and PGI will have to alter the model.

The success of the Phoenix package indicates that the model is working just fine.

And the fact that PGI did not give people a bonus for buying the clan pack now says that they were thinking:

'Hey, its xmas, lets get some money now and over the next few months from excited fans, and get money from people who don't buy later because they will get thr EXACT same thing.'

There is almost ZERO reason for themn NOT to put the package up for sale as soon as the details are finalized.

The only way I can help myself is to think of the $140 I've lost on this as a speeding ticket or something. It's lost money, and, since the 3pv 3-card monty sealed the deal for me, as well as the ******** pricing for the Clan packs, I'll keep playing this but my money will wait for the 2023 release.

Somehow I feel like the MW/BT community is a little more dedicated and intelligent than the CoD community, or at least the newer CoD games post-Modern Warfare (the first one).

I would expect similar. However, it surprises me that they wouldn't release the Timberwolf with the start of the Clan invasion. It's kinda THE MECH.

If they do release the Dire Wolf first I'm not gonna pay a cent and I'm gonna rock that thing all day, my army of medium mechs in my bay be damned.

Which is why they wont release it first. Again, they want to maximize profit. a LOT of people will buy a package if they have to wait even a month. Make it 2 and people will be begging.

That is the UGLIEST Timberwolf I have ever seen. If you attach those LRMs to the Arms or the L/R Torso I hope someone ***** slaps you all. It looks like {Scrap}, I have seen some models drawn on the forms that look WAY better, those arms look like {Scrap}. Since when are the arms all blocky on any model of the Timberwolf? the LRM racks are stuffed on the shoulders where they normally have a gap between. It looks like you sat on your concept art and forgot to stretch it back out.

Yes, Timber Wolf is godawful, we, Timber Wolf fans have to do something about it. It's 6 a.m. here and I'm finally going to sleep, THANKS FOR RUINING THE WEEKEND for me, pgigp. Good job!

Actually, we're agreeing with each other, just in different ways.

What started us down this rabbit hole was the contention that they were sold a "bill of goods", that is patently not true, you have been given everything you have paid for.

What you have NOT received was what prompted you to make the purchase in the first place.

Basically, you hired a glitzy looking plumber and he gave you a quote on the cost of materials and installation and said he would do the back-fill and replace the landscaping for free. You've paid him, he's done the work, but the 'Freemium" stuff he promised hasn't really been done yet.

Yep I agree with this. But at the end of the day my Grandpa always told me, "Everyone comes into this world and leaves this world with the same thing". Their name. The question he always posed to me was, "how do you want to be remembered?"

I keep that in mind when I tell folks and customers I deal with what I am going to do...I wish PGI would. Just cannot trust their word at this point. That is not the players doing that is their doing. I did not buy into a mech, I bought into the vision of a persistent universe that use the Battletech lore, yet to see that despite several dates they chose to set have come and gone.

Instead of the lot of you whining in a feedback thread about missing content (the subject matter isn't even related to what majority of you want).

Put it in the suggestion thread.

Make a suggestion - "Reduce Price of the Clan bundles"
-or-
"Offer Different Clan Bundles"

You get the point, post where it belongs, state your concern, not just an image about all of you wanting to buy and island.

That idea sounds pretty insane from my perspective, they would get more money from everyone with lower prices, not just a few that purchase the gold.

Not too mention the legal aspect from multiple parties.

This seems like a last ditch effort to attempt to inflict a wound on their pricing model.

Shame on you PGI. I wont comment about the money grab but the fact that PGI is introducing CLANS the WORST possible way.
How will it fit in the community warfare if CLANS mech can be just bought like that, with nothing justifying it gameplay wise.
I just hope, like manies, that the franchise can be taken by a more capable compagny, that's too much frustration so far. Thanks for the Mechs deathmatches arena game, was fun for awhile but now just pass on guys...

LOL, it doesn't bother me per se, I find it humorous and agree with 99% of it (the VoIP I could care less about).
I think you'd be better served using it as a sig and posting AROUND the forums until if/when it gets redacted (still many unflattering sigs out there) so, who knows.

Just posting it again and again does two things...

1.) It makes you shrill because you're not really doing anything but regurgitating the same thing over and over.
2.) Increasing the likelihood that it'll get deleted because it's just spam, nullifying your purpose in the first place.

The problem is guys, the reason I have so much fun mocking you, isn't because I'm White Knighting, its because you become so ABSURD in your nerdrage, you aren't contributing anything other than noise. And noise just gets toned out.

Like Victor and his 100 posts in this thread, did he say anything that he didn't already say in the first 10 posts, other than some ad hominem towards those who disagreed with him. Nope. He just kept soldiering on, proudly displaying his neckbeard.

The reason why you guys feel that PGI doesn't listen to you is because you're not saying anything for them to listen to, you just press the CAPS LOCK and mash the keyboard over and over, or, in this case, recycle a picture over and over.

Those of you who have made good points in this thread I've agreed with. I'm not for this package, I'm not against it. I couldn't care less. But as usual, y'all give me so much food for my inner troll, I just can't help myself ;)

Can you point us to anywhere PGI have listened to us even once, no matter what tone was used?

Fact of the matter is they don't listen, they never have listened and they never will.

Get in good with a group of players that are trying to roleplay a Clan; when you are invited to their private match act like you're going to pick a Clan 'Mech but then at the last minute drop with an IS 'Mech before they can back out of starting the match.

Legendary Founder, Phoenix Project Overlord, YLW, HM, [C] Spider and a few mid tier MC purchases. I've given you enough money that This Clan Package and gold mechs and nothing really added to game play has my thinking I'm playing a EA game. They enjoy [EDITED] their customers wallets and [EDITED] on them afterwards. Your starting to go down that road PGI and that makes me very sad.

This game has no:

CW
DX 11
Ui 2.0 with functional chat that does not eat what you type + lobby + messages sendable to people in game etc.
Working Hit detection specially (but by no means only) SRM's (HSR ****ed it up)
Mechs falling down
Private matches

This game has:

Good graphics and animation, but you have to lower almost everything to low to get good FPS and be competitive, you just see more with some settings on low (trees have no leaves in the distance etc.), it should have fixed graphics settings, you want more FPS, get better HW.
Of course sometimes, in this game, better hardware is even counterproductive, I got a friend who has a 670 (i got a 560ti) he is constantly getting frameratedrops, we already tried everything, he has NO problems in other games, we have the same mobo, cpu, OS....
Hell even my systems GPU and CPU are not being used fully.
From a hardware protocol running in the background CPU peaks 60% (all cores combined) GPU peaks 87%
3570K 3,9 Ghz and 560ti 950Mhz.

Those unique modules sound a lot like pay2win.

Uncountable getting stuck bugs on all maps and falling through (or into) terrain and objects on those "super expensive" maps.

Specially in "Conquest" but also sometimes in "Assault" the capture points are stuck and you can't neutralize and cap them.

On Terra Therma you sometimes walk through lava and then your legs will still continue to take damage even when you are far away from lava.

So many invisible walls that block your shots, shots that should clearly hit your enemy 100m away yet explode in the air doing no damage on him.

Completely unexplainable damage boost on some hits on your or enemy mech's.
Getting hit in the back and the damage goes to the front and vice versa.

A broken matchmaker that determines the outcome of pug matches and since high elo players know most of the other good players you can usually tell how the match will end, specially with no tonnage limits.
It's so much fun rolling over people that you know from watching the start screen have no chance or knowing this will be a loss.
I mean what is the matchmaker doing to get 3 elite 4mans on one side and on the other you have 1 elite 4man with 8 noobs even some in trialmechs doing 0 damage ????

A completely undocumented (in the game) and newbie unfriendly ghost heat-system that has nothing to do with battletech, instead of just lowering the heatcap to 30 rendering the 6PPC-Stalkers useless (like the d*mb ghost heat) and generally preferring DPS over Max.Alpha.
A newbie who does not know smurfy's (god bless him) is ****ed, no lube.

3PV periscope.

Mechs not able to walk over ridiculously small obejcts and get stuck on everything.
The classic, the statues on River City near the "Citadel", a mech getting stuck ON STATUES, are they made out of adamantium ???

One money grab after another.

MPBT 3025

Had mechs falling down from loosing a leg (yes you really need 2 to stand) or gyro damage, you could still move your torso and fire your weapons, I actually won a game like that.
It had CW, a map of the inner sphere you where fighting over with your house.
It had BETTER hit detection, there where bugs too I admit that but only with LRM´s: once they locked on to you, you could not take cover.
But lasers and ballistics were perfect 12 ****ing years ago.

Sadly when EA bought Kesmai the game got shutdown, which is why have not bought (and never will) buy an EA-Game.

Now, dear PGI, please tell me you can't understand the community hate you are receiving from your latest faux pas with the clan packages, prices, timing and so on.

The packages are just too expensive. It's not 10 dollars a mech, its 30. The mechs you can buy with c-bills don't count. Anyone who spends real cash on those is a little bit lazy and a lotta bit dumb. Star citizen's prices are too high as well. This is video gaming, not horse racing, yachting or golf.

The prices are unreasonable.

I'm serious, there was a thread, like two weeks ago somewhere that even the staunchest detractors pointed out instances where they listened.

Keep in mind, just because you had an idea, doesn't mean it was a good one.

And we're still waiting for the "in game badges" from the Phoenix package that we were supposed to have on october 15th. They clearly made a distinction between "forums badges" and "in game badges", and that we were suppose to get BOTH. And now they're already pushing a new money scheme and they're pretending like they hold up to their promises?
