First of all, yay clan mechs! Secondly, boo pricing.

Honestly, it would be much, much, much MUCH, MUCH more intelligent to allow us to buy the individual mechs. Let us buy the variants(wait...aren't clan mechs supposed to be omni?) as packages, because you've got that whole "level up variants to unlock the next perk tier" thing going on, so that's something we'd have to do anyway.

But what in the [redacted] did you think was going to happen? The most iconic mech next to the Atlas (the Timberwolf/Mad Cat) is in a $210!

[redacted] on a *******. Angry Joe wasn't kidding when he said the people in charge of the decision making know nothing about the community they're trying to build.

I think we, the community, needs to start saying

not.one.dime

until we see some real updates to the game.. not tweaks.. updates..

not.one.dime

we want.. no need U.I. 2.0, DX11, CW.. something

not.one.dime

I feel like I was ripped off with the Phoenix package now

not.one.dime

everyone.. if you are sick of this... add it to the end of you posts.. all of them

not.one.dime

This annoucement is downright a cash grab, trying to get some impulse buy.

PGI, How can you ask these price for , I would like to remind all, Digital (non-tangible) item.

Have you no idea how to manage a community ?! You are barely keeping your player base alive with a game poor in content and running on empty promise.

Mind I remind you that there is so many thing that have yet to be implemented or re-introduced ?

Do you think stepping up the price each time you advertise a pack is a logical thing to do ?! That we are gonna chuck the entry fee ?!

I am still waiting for basic thing I expect from a f2p that's out of beta : All Graphic feature (Dx11) And Region Based Servers.

No, just no. It's over you did trick me twice into buying virtual thing, but not thrice.

I think what needs to be done is a 'show of faith'. Many here are disillusioned with you PGI, as most of these replies show.
A lot of people don't realize that it's actually quite cheap when everything is counted out. It's rage that's doing this.

I'm leaning towards buying a high priced tier, and that's because I see the bigger picture.

I suggest letting people see some progress towards CW, and UI 2.0. Let them see that their purchase will not be in vain

All i can say is what a "Money Grab"! Hold onto your wallets. Ok, it's nice but there the "[redacted]" is community warfare. Where is knockdown. They are only out for our money and giving us shinnies to sidetrack us from the fact they are not producing any thing towards community warfare!

holy.... i allmost forgot about the knockdowns. Damn, they allmost succeeded. Thanks man, more to rage about!

Well I liked the teaser video, it's quite a tease.

The best case scenario I guess is that CW is here by June 2014 and these Clan 'mechs will be used to do some invading. I'd hate to see more 'mechs getting poured into a game that is still so "minimally viable".

Your one to talk Overlord McFounder. Your one package buy out away from the same thing. Just like with Founders and Pheonix people cried about not being able to just buy the ones they wanted, to bad so sad. Don't like it, simple don't buy it. They'll be out in due time for you to buy with in game money.

you know I was ok paying 120-180 for packs but 240 for the highest tier and only 90 days of preimum time this is out of control. Further more did you devs not promise this game would not become pay to win?

What is up with unique modules or your Gold 500 dollar mechs? that is pay to win and not only that your prices are so high and outragous at this point this announcement did more to upset me then get me hyped about MWO.

No UI 2.0 No CW but we damn sure as hell can milk the community for some scratch~

It's not "pay to win". It's "pay to get it sooner than anyone else can". There is a difference.

And the gold mech I think is just one of the variants, with gold colored skin... It probably does nothing else besides what a 30% c-bill boost and to let people know you are worthy of being mugged on the side of the street.

I do agree with you on the pricing. A bit steep. I'd only want to buy up the Nova and Puma, but if I want the Puma, I'd have to buy well more than I bargained (or want) for. Now, if each pack was $20 each instead of $30 each... I'd be tempted to spend $40 for the Nova at least. However... not at those prices. Phoenix pack was expensive enough, and I paid $80 for that! ($20 a step, which seemed reasonable for what we got.)

People in the past have talked about how they managed to get refunds. Is this for real?

As frankly, I would love to get a refund on my saber reinforcement pack before it ships. Worse of all, I just drop 30$ to get the heros today.

Now though, my faith in PGI being around past a few months just isnt there. This feels like a going out of business, lets fleece our whales sale. Now I have a 50+% chance that PGI will be gone in the new year.

You do know that most of the advantages in the past that clan tech gave like much better weapon range will most likely not be in this time around so it's more balanced. ER clan weapons would most likely get a 10-15% range increase over their IS counterpart. clan ER ppc probably won't do the 15 damage but 10 like the IS one with a slight range advantage. Clan LRM no minimum range? probably not in.

Niko most likely knows.

He has the unfortunate job of dealing with the fallout. Hell, my guess is every single non-marketing person on the PGI/IGP team know how exceptionally stupid this move was... but what can they do... say it publicly?

Yeah, I noticed Niko's "like this" button broke a long time ago in this forum.

These exclusives are really getting expensive now. I'm gonna need more information before I'll buy anything.

What do you mean by unique bonus module? Are these modules different from the currently available ones? Will they only be available to those who buy a collection?

What are custom titles? If I buy the Masakari Collection are you going to invent 8 noble titles for me, that I might be properly recognized for my wealth? Sir Mcwierdo the lavish?

What is a Warhorn and what does it do?

Fivehundred dollars for a single, solitary goldplated Mech?!?
I know that MWO relies on the players to continue development, but $500 for a gold skin is exactly 200 times worse than Oblivions horse armor, and on top of that, it's unimaginative and lazy. It honestly looks like you're shotgunning whatever at the community just to see how much money they'll give you.

When you say the "bigger picture", what time frame are you talking about here? Could you please just clarify exactly what was promised in the initial crowd funding for the game, compared to what we have now months into release? I say again, there still isn't a proper tutorial for the game, parring of course movement which is one small part of what you need to learn.

Your money is yours to do with as you wish, but I honestly can't see how you can be so rose tinted at this point given all the missed deadlines, things still not implimented, and the overall "cheek" of still asking for quite a substantial amount of money in comparison to other games or physical goods at this point in "development"

Sorry PGI, an Adder is not worth $150. Your lack of progress in actually making this game (CW, IW, UI 2.0, Factions, etc etc etc) should not be funded. This is an obvious cash grab. It is clear to me that you're just here to milk the diehard Battletech fandom for as much money as possible. The truly sad part is I understand why my fellow BT'ers might pay you, there's not really any alternative games out there.

But seriously? [Redacted]. I'd rather MWO died than have the franchise in your hands to be used to exploit the people who love this IP.

Good job, I am now actively rooting for your failure.

I really can't say it any better, you PGI guys are so far beyond this universe that it's just ridiculus.
It's sad to see that our favourite franchise is getting more and more into a cash milking machine.
I hope so hard noone will buy any of those mechs but i fear i will be wrong...but what i can say for sure...if enough are buying this piece of **** packs, the next mechs will be even more expensive...meybe 5000$ for the light mech and ten times for the next assault?
Shame on you PGI! You bunch of money-grubbing ********.
