This is the largest cash grab yet! Don't miss it folks!!

Seriously though.... I mean maybe not seriously since I can't really take this seriously. I've bought into everything and I mean everything you've said so far but nothing has really been delivered. The new UI and CW, where are they? It's been more than a year but the game has only progressed in baby steps. The eye candy is really good and all but what we need is nice solid game play that keeps us coming back for more!

I'm sorry but I'm out until something solid in the game play is released.

There's really nothing to say that's been already said before.

Had PGI done something great like, provide a great CW and a good UI 2.0 debut, then this wouldn't be looked at as horrible as it should.

Since now, it looks like a terribad cash grab... a weekend BEFORE the Saber pack is released... and missing those important things that are desperately needed in MWO.

People who are committing to the grab deal can do whatever they want with their money. However, if you can properly justify your payment for a $500 mech, you better hope PGI is around long enough to make the most out of it.

For those of you who have long waited for progress for MWO and are wondering that you should even consider paying for it, then I suggest you think long and hard about how PGI has done or not done things for you. I don't mean personal desires (like rebalancing weapons or whatnot).. I'm talking about CW... or at least the kinds of things you could be doing in other F2P games, with multiple modes, multiple objectives, multiple roles... very little of which actually exist in this game. If I had $500 to spend, I'd literally just build a new comp instead of investing in this game.

MWO itself has failed to even copy/imitate WOT, which the entire design that this game is based off.. let alone games of MW past. The fundamental aspect of MW is to play big stompy robots with other people and have fun... with various modes/settings/options at your disposal. What we have today is simply a stand and kill mentality. If you simply enjoy the game for what it is, congrats. If you wish to have more, then you have to deliver a statement through your wallets RIGHT HERE AND RIGHT NOW how this needs to be accomplished... and SOON (not PGI's soon™ ). There's is no possible way that this game, let alone this community can function with just "more mechs" and "more maps". It's simply not possible and simply not functional for a business to continue in this way. There's no exception to this rule. Either PGI MAKES PROGRESS, or IT'S OVER. That's it.

Otherwise, those of you golds spending $500 on this spiffy mechs will be playing against a lot more F2P leechers, and there will be more CW internally than the promise of CW. That is this game's future destiny.

So, good luck to you all, and I hope you choose well. This game's future is dependent on you for it to succeed or die.

I'm sorry, I did not realize this game was not about mechs.

Must've been the title of the game.

THIS IS HOW YOU INTRODUCE THE CLANS!!! Pathetic.......... Why not just call it what it is PGI fleecing of your consumer base.

One of the bigger dissapointments for me, is the way the clans will be introduced now.

I was always hoping that CW will be out before the clans, so by the time the clan mechs come out we would have proper IS vs. Clan matches.
Now clan Mechs will suddenly fight against and beside me.

Also, it's a pity that no OmniMech mechanics where introduced into the game for the clans and that PGI is going the easy way and simply mirroring the IS variants mechanics.

I learned after the Stalker not to trust concept art.

...and $240? Nope.

Instead of buying a "Gold" mech that doesn't exist, I bought a PS4 today with 2 games. Seriously.

I had a feeling that PGI was in some dire straits... and this confirmed it. Not only did they get the entire concept of Clan Mechs completely wrong (they are OmniMechs with the capability to equip gear wherever) but they have totally missed the boat on an opportunity to smooth things over with their community. This should have been thought out much better than it was and the delivery was about as anti-climactic as "launch day". For over two years now PGI has missed opportunity after opportunity to make a return on the investment of thousands of people who out of a passion for the franchise backed this project. Unfortunately for them it seems they finally crossed that final line with their community. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised at this point if this enterprise closes its doors before too long.

I bet you 500 grams of silver that PGI's art department had those assets created and rigged back in August of 2012.

The agonizingly slow pace of this game leads me to believe that the assets were largely created ahead of time for the reboot of MW and the game we see today was largely launched as a cost-recovery effort after the full-title release was canned.

I wouldn't be surprised if they haven’t even started making clan mechs yet. They probably don't know what a "warhorn" does either.

I'm probably going to buy in, but it doesn't make this cash grab any less sad.

Remember when they decided to make it harder for mechs to climb hills, then sell you a module to partially undo it?

Don't feed someone a [redacted] sandwich and tell them it's fried gold.

You mean the patch change on July 2nd and the module that came out November 19 (140 days in between) that can be bought without having to spend any real money to get? What about it?

Actually, PGI is delaying the release of mechs that would presumably be complete by June and then selling them back to you like they're doing you a favor.

You're making the assumption that the mechs would be complete and ready by June. That's a pretty big assumption. They could be done sooner, later, or even (in PGI fashion) be delayed on delivery. I fail to see how they're doing anyone a favor. If I'm only interested in the mechs, I know that their coming in about 6 months, giving me PLENTY of time to save up CBills to buy one (again, without spending a dime) if I really wanted to. Sure, I may have to way a few extra weeks/months, whatever, but that's not set in stone yet either. They may push all of them out at once for a IS vs Clan event on the Clan "arrival" for some publicity.

Point being, you're paying a LOT of money to save yourself a LOT of time having to grind away for 24 of some of the most expensive mechs in the game (a Uller costs more than a Cataphract 4X if they stick to the pricing system, and a Dire Wolf is looking to be over 20 million). Yet you can still get this stuff for free. Your $240 is going towards a CBill bonus, 4 "unique" modules, possible early access, 4 hanging cockpit items, and 8 Warhorns. They're not selling anything "back" to anyone, they never took anything away from us to sell back to us again in the first place.

Again, assumptions.
