If you read the command chair, Clans have only NOW (as of 3rd December i think) gone into design phase, that means concepts ONLY, no actual development work has been done. So no models, textures, rigging, animations, damage textures and no coding of how these 'Mechs will operate.

A 6 month deadline is going to be a 186 day crunch time to get this out and that would need the entire team on it. PGI is listed as 30-40 staff and I think, don't quote me, they only have 5 or 6 artists and the same number of programmers. They would have to stop UI2.0 and CW development entirely to get the Clan 'Mechs ready.

I've been pretty loyal and open with my wallet since getting into beta. And in recent weeks I've been pretty outspoken about issues I feel are ruining gameplay. But with all the money I have currently spent, to be asked to spend more to get special Mechs is absurd. I don't care if it is ten bucks a mech. I've paid for Legendary Founder and Phoenix Overlord. I'm joining the ranks of those who refuse to pay anymore for items in game. There needs to be some significant improvements made before I shell out any more of my hard earned money for this.

I for one hope that they charge MORE for these excellent packages. I mean who wouldn't buy these when you could use the money for lets say...food or bills!!!! BUT!!! Who needs food when you have a gold mech that you ...well....ummm.....never mind.
This **** is just freaking stupid as hell. Maybe not the packages but the gold mechs are just over the top arse ****** us as pilots.
PGI...pull hard until you hear the POP! At least does these mechs come with lube or is that extra as well?

Are you paying attention to this pgi? In four hours there are 56 pages of complaints.
Customers vote with their dollars so if you want to get their vote maybe develop the game a bit before grubbing for more cash.

I can buy a 2006 Yamaha R1, or a 2006 Honda Fireblade for that money. Hell I can buy THREE 1999 Kawasaki ZXR600 Ninjas and still have change for custom parts AND insurance for all three.

So, two road bikes and a track bike or a road bike, track bike and spare parts bike or 'Mechs?

i know where I am putting my money and its not where PGI wants it....

I dont' know why but I keep looking at those and laughing hysterically. It's just such a BAD concept.

It's so bad I want to buy a gold madcat load it up with TAG and NARCs and just run headfirst into the other team like a jackass just so people can point and laugh at it.
