The Packages themselves are actually fine it's just the gold ones that **** people off .

Really? 240$ is not a steep price for an "free 2 play" early access DLC)
Yes, we have a choice not to get one, and still people rant about it.
Pricing is ridiculous.

But it is not just that. read some replies to this thread and you will notice people are angry because devs are milking the community on promises they have not kept, and instead they produce long waited clan mechs out from a magical hat with an unbelievable price tag.
Oh, and those clans should have been ingame last summer.
as well as community warfare, multiple game modes etc etc.
The list of undelivered promises is long.
The list of actual fixes to game and new features... that is short.

You all are disgusting. Not one more cent. Screw you all and your cash grabbing ******** nonsense.

I regret my decision to become a founder, you all make me ******** sick. Your userbase isn't some big cash jar you just dip your hands into whenever you like. You pigs give greed a bad name.

On the off chance I do play in the coming months, I am going to shoot to kill gold mechs on site, regardless of team.

While I would really like to have my Clan 'mechs, I won't be buying them unless things change and there is more content developed. Examples :a weight balancing system that actually works (and balances ECM on both sides not counting "ECM counters" (like BAP or TAG) just straight up team A ECM = team B ECM numbers) at both the lance and company levels, with all of the bugs worked out; at least 10 large fully developed (very close to completely full mini-map in the loading screen) maps, with all of the bugs worked out; at least 4 very different and challenging game modes, with all of the bugs worked out; Community warfare completely and fully developed, with all of the bugs worked out; and UI 2.0 completely functional, again with all of the bugs worked out. And all of that BEFORE the clans are released. I'm very hard pressed to say I'm going to spend any additional money on anything in this game until there is more content developed and the "lets give them more mechs" mentality is shelved or better discarded. Like a few others I've read so far, I'm almost to the point that I'd rather see you fail PGI and let the rights for the universe go to another design team that delivers what they say when they announce it. Almost I'm an ardent MWO (and Battletech in general) fan, but this is simply awful and I really don't think I can justify further cash spent on the game without some serious changes made and all promises delivered upon BEFORE the clans are released. I think you need to "redact" your announcement and strategies that got you there. You bit off more than you could chew and made promises you've failed to keep thus far, so I think it is time to pay the piper (all of us that are playing and putting money into the game) and deliver even if it costs you money in the first place.

Well it will be interesting to see if this game will still be around in a year or two. (I hope it is and very much improved) Will another game be made to replace it? Please do or say something to help calm your fans. Something needs to be done or people will just leave.

A game is nothing with out its players,

We do not want another massive wait before the next Battletech game so... People are all ready thinking about crowd funding another one (or a buyout of this one)

Just look at what people are saying, if you are making your fans say this sort of thing something is wrong, very wrong.

Spoiler

I think people should take a deep breath (not saying you should calm down)..I think you're attributing waaay too much malice and cartoon-villainy to this situation. I mean protesting the prices is fine, I'd be liable to be right there with you, but come on. This is the real world, not Whacky Racers with Dikk Dastardly (had to spell it that way) at the helm, twirling his mustache between two fingers, while giggling maniacally.

They started it. Who is asking 500 bucks for a golden Mech? Seriously is this history repeating? If i had seriously put some money in this game i would be very upsetx100.

I must be dreaming...

http://mwomercs.com/clans

Thats ******* money grab. PGI you are worst that EA.

Clan invasion - another reason to milk players. 240$ for full package, and 500$!! for gold mech this is outrageous at best. GG PGI i wish you to choke with those grabbed money you will get.

No more from me - first get game done than ask for money - stupid lazy developers you think you gonna make another X number of premium mechs to please us and fill your pocket? Gues what - you will simply disappoint rest of faithful players and than there will be no one left to support you. But maybe thats a plan - milk us till you can and than cancel product claiming that market is not ready for battletech game....

I wont support this game with more money because i know now PGI is killing it. MWO wont survive anoyher 2 yrs so why bother.

I'm really liking the redesigns! Except for that Nova... I mean, come on! Didn't any of you guys think that having a small degree of torso twist would've been a neat quirk for such a cool machine! I was able to put up with MekTek's Nova design, but this looks way too different for my liking...

Please, I'd like to see a Nova like this one.

Honestly, without any information on it, balance concerns me more than prices.

Clan mechs are ton for ton better, faster, tougher and meaner than inner sphere.

I would just like to see PGI at least nod to the idea that yes, clan mechs will be stronger, but yes, they will be balanced. Especially if, like project phoenix, clan mechs are 'pay only' for half a year or, worse, permanently pay only.

Honestly, I'm kind of shocked and more than a little concerned.

If you had the 4 mechs for 120$ and each of the other 4 as "addon packs" for 30$ each, you could have a lot more success.
500$ for Goldmech? With the FULL Pack + Goldmech that would still be 260$ for this one extra gold mech, but ONE Mech only?
NO WAY!
This has to be a typo. If you buy a single mech for 50$, that would already be more expensive than an assault Hero mech. but 10X the money? You can't be serious.

Marketing is all about the feeling of the customer. Make them feel like they get more than they really do.

Hope you can see what I mean with this:

Here you choose the Daishi Pack + Added Ryoken and Madcat (for +30$ each) to get 6 mech packs for 180$.

Choosing Blackhawk would unlock light+medium addon,
Choosing Thor would unlock light+medium+heavy addon,
and choosing the Daishi pack would unlock all 4 addons.
That way you still need to take the Thor to get the MadCat. This would prevent people from getting an Uller + MadCat only

Blame Star Citizen and their limited 15k$ ship packages that sold out. Worked for those chumps.

lol why all the star citizen anger? it has a developer who seems truly in it for the game of dreams, the ships are lavishly and intricately detailed inside and out, you can do FAR more with them than pathetic ~8min skirmishes in a matchbox. plus in star citizen the idea is more to own a single ship and get really good at doing whatever it is you choose to do, bigger ships come with more features yesh but much more responsibility in the game world.

Happily bought a Constellation, can't bring myself to put a dollar more towards this game.

Sorry but those prices are ridiculous. I'm are hardcore Battletech and Clan fanboy but this is too much. We had no really content over a year , UI 2.0 isn't done yet and where is CW? I'm thinking off to quit MWO cause this ****, sorry.

Keep in mind that $5000 Star Citizen ship can be blown out of the sky and you lose it *forever*.

PGI, you've successfully done something that very few companies have done.... created Community Warfare between you and the players/customers.

Would you like to try for the hat trick, since you doubled down after the Phoenix Pack?

Noone expected this firestorm... you did it on your own, with little effort... just as much effort into putting together CW.

You reap what you sow as they say.

are you out of your mind PGI? this is the kind of money people throw at STAR CITIZEN, not you guys!

you guys just DONT have the quality assurance power, you dont come CLOSE to the quality assurance power of that game, or literally almost any other AAA title, yet you demand money on the order people could buy SEVERAL AAA titles and just ditch your game
wake the hell up already and quit acting like EA, stop screwing over your customers, and more importantly, the FANBASE that keeps your business alive

So will CW be released before the Clans or is this just a cash grab before IGP/PGI stop development?

It sure looks that way. I'll bet $250 that in less than a year the servers will be shut down, and they'll be laughing as they walk away with your money, and you can't do jack squat about it. NO REFUNDS ON DIGITAL GOODS.

Everyone who has bought this thing? They are laughing at you, right now, they think you are a fool. Prove them wrong.

that depends on when you got that ship. if you bought that ship before early november then it has lifetime insurance. so you get a new one for free.

Currently on the hot-seat is a discussion as to how Clan BattleMechs will be customized.

Asking a LOT of money for a product whose design isn't even finalized. Really classy PGI.
