I pre-ordered them all except the stupid $500 dollar gold mechs thats just trying too hard to get money from fans but guess what this fan is lucky to have a brain I am possitive everyone in the world has one its more as if they can actually use it. Which is basically why school is so special at a young age because as you learn you open new door ways.

I may have some grammer or spelling issues but we are not all perfect were human face the fact and look into a mirror before you insult someone for their behaviour, actions, personallity etc. this is basically why technology has its flaws aswell because they are not perfect what we think is straight is not trully straight we live in a round world. This is why I somewhat accept PGIs mistakes because everything makes a mistake because in the end even how smart we have become there would always be a mistake thus noones perfect....

Even after getting the "cheap" $55 A La Carte Timber Wolf, I still feel ripped off. :D

However I do not have the money for that, nor the wanting for the other mechs.

Well you must have never played MW2 and thought all those mechs had that little bit of nostalgia because thats what infulenced my purchase.

No, I have played MW2. That was the game that got me into Mech Warrior/Battle Tech. What I should of said was "I do not want them THAT much". Do not get me wrong, they are great mechs. Just that whenever I could, I always piloted the Timber Wolf.

The problem is their whole business plan here is "take advantage of nostalgia." I don't know how they still haven't figured out that by 1) dropping all the package prices to $20 increments and 2) readjusting their MC pricing scale (seriously get assault mechs below $30. It's ridiculous) would increase their number of sales so much that they would make more money than with what they are currently charging.

I agree on all of those but they don't decide the pricing sadly IGP does.

Not sure if it's been mentioned but the Timber Wolf has an LRM 20 and a Machine Gun listed under Right Torso, but under the Right Torso Hardpoints there is no listing for 1 Ballistic or 1 Missile.

Not sure if anyone's already asked this, but will the players who bought a clan package before the monthly rewards were implemented get a bonus or something? It'd be fair to give these players some kind of reward as they had no way of knowing the monthly rewards would be implemented.
I'd be happy to simply get the 30 day premium time from the first reward seeing as I did in fact buy a package long before the 28th of February which is the condition for unlocking it according to the clans page.

Are you saying you didn't get the 30 days? I suggest you submit a ticket, as the situation makes no sense and you sure deserve those extra incentives.

So...we're being given shiny rewards for buying in.

How about letting us know exactly what we're buying, other than a potential empty Mechbay once we toss the junky 'Mech in it?

Because I have yet to see any meat on exactly what my shiny Clanner 'Mech is supposed to be capable of. Not even the most beta of statmongering.

Man, imagine if they made a MechWarrior game which had all of the content for a single $60 on a game disc! That'd be ridiculous, unheard of even!

Lucky we've never had that before and therefore can't hate on PGI for asking us to pay quadruple to play a game with even less content than MechWarrior 4.

Are they making you pay it? Nope. Are they letting you pay to get early access to the Mechs that will be free a number of months after? Yep. Do you have to buy in to it? Nope. Am I buying it, because since the game was announced I wanted to pilot Clan Chassis? YEP!

Uh-huh. I've heard it before buddy. Look, I fully understand how the free-to-play model works. And frankly, despite my distaste for it, I've seen it work right before. Hell, for the most part MW:O works quite well in that you can get away with playing a lot of the game without paying a cent. That said, I've paid a good $50 to grab a few custom paints and such, which I felt was... reasonable, I suppose.

My problem is it just feels... unethical. Wrong. The fact they can score hundreds from eager players just because they decided to work on content bit by bit (this game IS supposed to be 'released', isn't it?). The whole concept of early access is fine and all, but PGI seemed to have dragged 'early access' over years.

I'm not saying the game is bad. The game is good, and feels more like MW2/3 than 4 ever managed. I'm just a little shaken in their business practice, is all.

Increased my package to Masakari. All Clanmechs at once..I will love it. Expensive? Right. But cheaper than to try to pramm it myself. Correct?
;)

I Will enjoy the nice Bonus stuff. Coffe cub, hanging items and unique moduls. Now also a Mechbay.

I hope they will make them nice.

As far as I know I only had my phoenix package premium time with phoenix early buyer bonus time and a few days of free premium time stored, and that ran out a while ago. ( End of January, I believe. )
I've got a big red X over the February bonus on my clans page and ( logging in to the game to verify ) no premium time on my account. I suppose I could have used it but forgotten about it, but that seems unlikely.

Can anyone else who purchased a package before those rewards were implemented post whether or not they received a monthly reward?
I'd rather not bother support if I'm not sure myself.

I know the popular battlecry was "ITS BETA" for awhile and turned into "YOU DONT HAVE TO PAY/PLAY" after launch but no matter how you pretty it up or blow smoke up peoples asses anyone that takes the time to sit down and think this over quickly notices how nasty the situation really is.

Lets assume you have kids that you actually want to send to college, car payments, insurance , food, rent......whatever so the big packs are pretty much out of the question so you turn your attention to the ala Carte because you really wan't that Timber Wolf.....but you could almost buy Titanfall for that price..... so you feel a bit like thats just too much and give in to the 'u no need 2 pay!" guys and choose to grind out that 'free' timberwolf when it comes out SIX MONTHS after the pack/cart buyers got theirs.

Okay so you just spent six months getting curb stomped by shiney clan mechs that even with their downsides are generally better than existing IS mechs (except maybe the light ones) but you keep on trucking by because you WILL have those cbills ready by the time the mech comes out.......but at 20-24M Cbill a pop you can expect to muscle through about 726 WINS to afford all three configurations of a timberwolf.....if you averaged 7 minutes a game that means you'll spend about 85 hours if you win every single match to afford those three mechs.

So your options are to break out your check book, get taken on ala cart ripoff, go on disability so you can play more MWO, or quit MWO.

ok, here's my question. it's 18th of march and we still don't have Clan mech specifications. So basicly we don't know what we're being offered. In these circumstances I found no other option than to preorder a Daishi coupla weeks ago, which costed 55$. If at some moment in future we finally get specs on Clan mechs, I'll be very likely to buy some other mechs. But trouble is that next mech I buy is still going to cost 55$ for me. I see no logic in this, especially considering the fact that people can upgrade their standart Clan packages by adding the difference of prise between bought and desired packages. So why people, who bought one mech a'la Carte for 55$ should buy another one for 55$ too in situation, when we still don't know what we're buying. And even if we do, why a'la Carte lacks this simple upgrade logic, that standart Clan packages have?
