I bought the Timber Wolf and Summoner and thought I could come back and get a third a la carte package for the third package discount of $45 and maybe a 4th for another $40 and get the benefits of buying 4 a la carte packages, which is what I would have done in total at that point. However when I go to the page to buy additional a la carte packages, I am being charged the full price again as if I had not bought anything at all (although the Timber Wolf and Summoner are grayed out).

Is this your intent or a bug?

Should submit a support ticket and see if the developers can update your a-la-carte package.. ..be... ...insisting..

I know with the actual packs I could slowly upgrade, pack every couple weeks basically. I would imagine a bug, otherwise bad CSR, if they do not fix it for you... I may need to apply to be their CSM.

Although those bonus modules could not make a player (me in particular) a better player, or have a huge advantage, or guarantee a win; but isn't it on the cusp of a pay-2-win model? If it is only available to those who have purchased the pre-order clans package.

I'm happy to grind away until they're all released for c-bills, but it'll make me a little sadder that they've taken to that strategy.

no.

free 2 play games balance pay versus time. As long a reasonable amount of time equals reasonable amount of money for reasonable power then its balanced and not pay 2 win.

Lol, relax, I still love and play the game.

I did say on the cusp, since I know paying for it won't guarantee a win. But since real money (not time) is the only way you can gain an lower fall damage or better ams etc, surely that balance aspect is payment dependant.

Is there another way to purchase those modules with c-bills?

No response so I am going to assume it is intended to work that way and charge you the full price every time you purchase additional a la carte packages. So I will just pay C-Bills later for them. The Mad Cat and Thor are plenty to do and I have banked all my premium time for them anyway.

They've said the modules will also be available for cbills, so the inference is incorrect.

Yes the modules will be available for cbills and will be equipable on IS mechs as well, the only thing you get for paying real money will be unique Visual and Audio with those modules as a preorder customer.

Excelent option if you want to buy and mastered in only one clan mech
works for me i bought a Timber, but later i could think to buy another one, but this time with MC or CBills

Now i just want to know how the matches will be arranged with those mech and IS counterparts

I'd still like to know what these "unique visual and/or audio effects" are going to be...

It's sad that for months I've been a little torn on buying a 55$ ala carte mech with 3 variant, but due to the price and my general boredom with this game I can't condone the cost.... and then F'in SC releases Freelancer upgrades and I'm all, "Well what's another 55$"?

MWO doesn't excite me. I'm sad that the Clans are coming and I just can't see how it's going to be interesting enough to make me want to play more. That is a total failure somewhere along the way, as it's essentially the most dramatic event in the entire mechwarrior setting, and it's being squandered to sell another mech package.

8 days to launch and only 73% to Social Reward 4; good job PGI. (This was sarcasm, for the morons out there.)

I would also add that during this last weeks the numbers are being inflated automatically. That's what it feels.

Does it count if PGI buys it's own products? ^_^

Actually, some friends of mine have waited to have more info about the packages before purchasing. So they bought their mechs in the last week.

Right; I'm sure your buddies account for the 10% jump in 2 days. Does anyone actually believe this counter? I believed it when it said it took 5 months to get to Social Reward 3, but all a sudden people are purchasing at triple the rate 6 days prior to launch? PGI is desperate to make it look like people are still putting money into this game.

Now that the details for the package content have been released, I'm really glad they stayed so horribly overpriced. Otherwise I might have bought one and be really mad right now.

So, as of yesterday morning, social rewards were at 35% of level 4; today they are full. That means 16% of the total rewards were done in a day in a half.

It took 5 months go get to social reward 3, yet over the past two days social rewards went up 32x faster than the previous 5 months averaged... good grief, PGI; if you're going to be lying, manipulative pieces of dog excrement at least make it believable.

or people simple heard fealt the initial OPness of ClanMechs on the Test Server - and because they don't have faith in the ability of PGIs balancing guru - they bought some clan mechs to be still able to play mwo
