I was trying to figure up the best triple AC2 monster I could, and this is what I came up with. I know its hairy having ammo in some of the places I put it, and its 15.5 tons short becuase my computer is slow (and t takes 4ever to add armor) but thats what it would take to max out the armor. Anyhow what do you think?

My plan for it is long range support as long as possible, but it goes nearly 70kph so its decently maneourverable. I found out its nearly 100% heat efficient as long as you fire 2 AC2s, so keep those 2 going at range then when you want to unleash hell fire all 3 wiht an astounding 61 heat efficiency!

Whats really hairy is going in with no armor. Other wise i might give it a go. Not the suicidal version though.

I just started using a JagerMech JM6-DD for my triple AC/2. You can put all 3 in one Arm mount that is located high on the chassis, which sets it apart from the other 3 AC/2 Mechs that either have 3 ballistic slots on a low-slung arm or in a Torso Mount that can't aim as high or low as an arm, or spread out across the Mech.

It works well with a big honkin' XL engine, 8 tons of ammo, BAP, and 16 DHS.

Whenever I run my 3 AC/2 Battlemaster, people target my Arm and it's the first bodypart to go. You can't Torso Twist to save your 3 AC/2 arm because it has to be held on-target constantly, as opposed to High-Impulse weapons like larger AC, Gauss, or PPCs that can be fired and then hidden during the cooldown cycle.

I explained this in the post actually.

What you say is true but I find the Jaeger incredibly squishy, not heat efficent enough and I really wanted the 10 tons of ammo. Im stressing the long range portion of my post. Keep at range for as long as possible.

The Victor 9B can be fun to run trip AC2's with.

Yes the 9B is very fun, but Im a bit bored of it and I think that ths BLR can hold more ammo and DHS than the 9B, unless some one proves me wrong.

The most efficient AC2 boat is the SHD-2H. Fast, mobile, durable, agile, and cool enough. Backup lasers just interfere with the dakka, and too much cooling on any mech means you aren't carrying enough firepower. If 3xAC2 is your primary weapon system, this one has more damage potential than any other build.

Dontor, under tools in the armor tab, you can select "max armor", and if you want to speed up modifying armor values directly, use the tab on the far right in the weapon/ammo/engine/etc selector on the right side.

It's gotta be the Victor 9B. Arm mounted A/Cs, JJs, and enough tonnage to carry plenty of ammo and back up weapons.

BLR-1D

I have posted some crazy numbers with this build. The ERLL and AC2s mesh very nicely together, and all those DHS let you really throw down the hurt. Take the Advance Zoom module and murder people.

Not even close to enough ammo for my taste but I have run that build and do like it. Granted my 10 tons is pretty over the top but Im going to play some games with it this weekend and ill let you know if I run dry, I predict that I will.

Yes that is a good build aswell but you trade the 3+ tons on the LL and 330XL for 2 tons ammo and 2DHS. The 3 AC2s should be enough at range that you dont really need the extra 9 damage from an ERLL. I will switch it up and try it out to though. I agree murdering is good!

I dont understand how people could run AC20 2 PPC on assult mechs. To answer your question though AC2s need alot of extra tonnage to support them Excessive DHS, and excessive ammo. not to mention the 18 tons for the weapons themselves. So naturally the heaviest mechs in the game seem to do it best.

I just (as in like 30 seconds ago) killed one of those, he ran out of ammo and I shot his left arm off.

Yep cardinal rule for AC2s bring enough ammo. Rather have it and not need it, than need it and not have it.
