I'm just basing it off of what they've done for IS mechs so far. Anyways, PGI has already laid out that they want to nerf Clan tech--if it gets nerfed to a strong enough degree, we'll have to wait and see. Or if they even follow through with that plan at all.

They really should release more official details if they want people to buy this stuff...

Oh they got 7 months to tell us stuff before release and they'll probably keep the sale open for 4 months after delivery so we can know what we are buying for ourselves.

That's nearly a year for you to decide. We may be impatient, but there is no real need to rush the info.

If you look at the packages, you see that there are different variants of the Daishi available. The Devs have created a pisss poor weapon system, but they do have a modicrum of intelligence to realize that AC's rule the game. Most likely the Daishi will be able to mount either 2 AC/20's or 1 AC/20 and 2 AC5 watch.

Hypothetically... Variants should more or less be irrelevant... It's an Omni-Mech, the arms should be able to mount everything and anything in the game...

They all ready have said that they are going to balance the weapons better than the table top. The Ultra ac 20 is going to be a game changing weapon but the slow rate of fire and jam rate are going to make the weapon next to worthless you get one or two shots off before it jams and its going to take time to dislodge a 208mm shell.

Even if they keep the weight of the weapons the same your still going to be restricted by hardpoints and ammo. You also have to build the mech correctly with the right balance of armor.

If I had my way I be walking around in a Atlas with to ultra AC 20 and 4 m.lasers but hard points restrict that build.

Right now my Battlemaster does 79 damage with 3 large lasers 4 m lasers 2 mg and a LRM 20.

:rolleyes:LET ME MAKE IT CLEAR TO ALL YOU CLAN LOVERS. WE KNOW HOW TO FIGHT THE CLANS. IF YOU THINK WERE WALKING AROUND WITH AC 40 JAGERS, and DOUBLE GAUSS CATAPHRATS FOR THE FUN OF BLOWING UP NOOBS YOUR MISTAKEN. WE'VE BEEN TRAINING PEOPLE FOR A LONG TIME IN FOCUSED FIRE, LRM BOMBARDMENT HIT AND FADE TACTICS. SO BUILD WHAT YOU WANT WILL ADD IT TO THE SCRAP PILE AT ARE BASES THEN WILL TAKE YOU FLASHY WEAPONS AND USE THEM ON YOU.

I'm almost as worried about the warhawk as I am the daishi. dispite what pgi does, people will build Hellstars out of Warhawks, and it will be painful. 4 clan erppcs, 300 Clan xl, max armor, and 30 (THIRTY!!!) clan double heat sinks. yeah, 60dmg alpha at 800m sounds like a really bad day.

TT Clan ER PPC are 15 heat 15 damge. So the Warhawk starts with 4 and a LRM 10.

So your trying to soak 60 heat plus ghost heat on 4 ER PPC. on 42 heatsinks with the 1.4 conversion man build it watch it blow up in one shot.

In game ER PPC being 12 damage max with 15 heat slightly slower recharge time.

Clan tech will see damage nerfs no doubt. What wont be toutched is the Weight and Crit slot specifications on weapons/engines and Endo Steel/Ferro Fibrous unless PGI wants to rewrite every single Clan stock loadout.

The daishi has shoulder, upper, and lower arm actuators. It will not be able to mount AC20s in the arms.

Clan Ultra 20s need 8 Crits. Plus the 3 for an arm... 2 Ultra20 capable! :D

I used to strip the armor off the arms and run 3 CULTRA AC20 on the torsos for a 108 point alpha with the dual shot in zombie mode in MW4 and it worked REALLY WELL.It's Not supposed to be Balanced

How do you beat a Dire Wolf? With a very large stick. While the pilot is sleeping of course!

I cannot wait to beat my head against these monsters till they give up!!!

I speculate like others have said; the Daishi probably won't be balanced but I would imagine is should be easy to hit if you get a chance to lol. Too soon to tell though since soo little information is out for it yet.

THIS, damage and range nerfs are the most likely, along with some heat tweaking as well. Then again, why bother caring about the stock configs, when was the last time you've seen a stock mech in game?

At no other point in time has the King Crab been as justifiable as now. RIP Atlas unless we get Heavy Gauss and MRM40's.

It's a ton of extra design work easily avoided that i'd rather see spent on CW
