What do I mean?
I mean the legions of outdated battlemechs of the Inner Sphere forged in Iron and blood over the centuries versus the Technologically advanced sleek and graceful hunters of the Clans.
A theme a different style, or look.
It's like your favorite baseball team announcing new colors and style only to showcase the same old damn thing they've had the year before. It works, sure...It's just a massively missed opportunity IMHO.
That being said the Nova, Kitfox and the Stormcrow look the best out of the lot. Unlike all the other designs they look like they have some badass rubbed on them for good measure unlike some mechs.
Looking at you Mr. Timberwolf.
I know the Timberwolf gets lots of love from the community for being...itself? But personally I think it's fugly, flawed and going to be a nightmare for hitboxes. I know Alex is capable of SO much more and yet it came out looking so bad, can't help but think he was hobbled in the design criteria.

The problem is that Loki has 6.5tons of armor. Less than a jenner with max armor.
The kitfox is going at about 100kph with locust level armor.

6.5 tons of FF armor remember. Those 6.5 tons protected it better than a lot of Innersphere mechs with 8 tons. as for the Kit Fox as long as it does not get caught in the open that thing will do some serious damage. Yeah it is slow but it packs a heavies firepower in a small quick design.

Actually, the Hellbringer uses Standard Armor. http://bte.battletec...te/pdf/4575.pdf
In MWO, it will have 34 points of armor on its CT, 28 per side torso, 22 per arm, and 30 per leg. It's basically about as armored as a Cicada, if even that.

Well I will be damned I thought that the Hellbringer used FF and it looks to have the space for it so in lore it must have been a resource saving measure. If we cannot touch armor when they release the clan mechs then it will be a glass cannon.

I'll be happy if we can at least tweak some Clan variant like an IS mechs.. a little part of me want a Vulture retrofitted similarly to a Dragon or Quickdraw running at 100+ kph

The Jenners are about it. I know that the Kit Fox is at a disadvantage with speed and armor but until I see it played I am not ready to make a call about it. With proper cover and a smart pilot I can see many backsides being cored before the enemy can react. I remember similar stuff being said about the Locusts and that little mech surprised us. I do agree that it would be toast if people saw it though.
