As for the torso twisting, the Nova's legs in the original designs were mounted right onto the torso, with the arms mounted onto the legs, so it really couldn't torso twist. I think MW2 is the only game to ever actually implement it that way, though, even the tabletop rules still allowed it to twist. I think technically the Kit Fox's legs are similarly mounted to the torso in its original art, though redesigning it to allow for torso twisting is easier than for the Nova. The Nova art they show here clearly has its legs mounted to a distinct waist to allow it to twist, though, so it's not going to behave like its MW2 version.
The MW3 blackhawk could not torso twist but it could jockey a bit for better aiming comtrol not even close a full twist. done with leg movement. The Super nova with 6 clan erll could twist. The inner sphere Blackhawk KU 10 meds lasers in 3060.

What do I mean?
I mean the legions of outdated battlemechs of the Inner Sphere forged in Iron and blood over the centuries versus the Technologically advanced sleek and graceful hunters of the Clans.
A theme a different style, or look.
It's like your favorite baseball team announcing new colors and style only to showcase the same old damn thing they've had the year before. It works, sure...It's just a massively missed opportunity IMHO.
That being said the Nova, Kitfox and the Stormcrow look the best out of the lot. Unlike all the other designs they look like they have some badass rubbed on them for good measure unlike some mechs.
Looking at you Mr. Timberwolf.
I know the Timberwolf gets lots of love from the community for being...itself? But personally I think it's fugly, flawed and going to be a nightmare for hitboxes. I know Alex is capable of SO much more and yet it came out looking so bad, can't help but think he was hobbled in the design criteria.

Packing 2 ERPPC and SSRM6, for both long range and short range engagement.
Why include the 2 machine guns thought?
Which reminds me, the Kit Fox/Uller comes with a LBX5 in previous game.
A fast firing mini shotgun intrigues me.
The problem is that Loki has 6.5tons of armor. Less than a jenner with max armor.
The kitfox is going at about 100kph with locust level armor.

6.5 tons of FF armor remember. Those 6.5 tons protected it better than a lot of Innersphere mechs with 8 tons. as for the Kit Fox as long as it does not get caught in the open that thing will do some serious damage. Yeah it is slow but it packs a heavies firepower in a small quick design.

I'm pretty sure that most heavies (and a lot of mediums for that matter) carry more than 16 tons of weapons.

Actually, the Hellbringer uses Standard Armor. http://bte.battletec...te/pdf/4575.pdf
In MWO, it will have 34 points of armor on its CT, 28 per side torso, 22 per arm, and 30 per leg. It's basically about as armored as a Cicada, if even that.

Yes but few of them are packing a LBX5, ERLL, SPL, and a SSRM or a Gauss Rifle and 2ERMLs. The list goes on. Add to the fact with MWO customization you can pack one hell of a punch in a light that would rival a current medium and some of our heavies.

Well I will be damned I thought that the Hellbringer used FF and it looks to have the space for it so in lore it must have been a resource saving measure. If we cannot touch armor when they release the clan mechs then it will be a glass cannon.

You can carry all the guns in the world, but if you don't have much survivability that kind of ruins the point. Basically, imagine a mech with the armor of a Locust, the speed of a Blackjack, and the armaments of a Trebuchet or something. That's basically what an UIler amounts to in MWO. As long as no enemies look in your general direction you'll be fine, but as soon as they see you...
And really, our current lights pack plenty good enough of a punch, particularly Jenners armed with 5-6 Medium Lasers.

Yep in most of the IS mechs you get a shock due the new artwork, but with clans it's just them i pretty much recognized all of them without doubt because they just looked like just a new rendition not something new.
I hope the Textures team takes a bigger load in them, and just make them a bit more streamlined, looking more detailed and streamlined than the IS equivalents, this ways the IS may keep a more basic looks while the Clans looks like a better and more advanced design.
P.S: about all the Nova lovers, in theory it should go at 90+ kph with JJ and be able to Alpha 6x ER med laser for 40-42? points of dmg.
I'll be happy if we can at least tweak some Clan variant like an IS mechs.. a little part of me want a Vulture retrofitted similarly to a Dragon or Quickdraw running at 100+ kph

I've run a Cicada that did ~100 kph with a Gauss rifle, 3-4 tons of ammo, 2 ML, and ECM... It is heavier than the Kit Fox, but it was at best 'so so' to use. I think the Cicada is actually probably the closest mech we have to compare to the Kit Fox/Uller atm in armor and in tonnage usable for weapons.

The Jenners are about it. I know that the Kit Fox is at a disadvantage with speed and armor but until I see it played I am not ready to make a call about it. With proper cover and a smart pilot I can see many backsides being cored before the enemy can react. I remember similar stuff being said about the Locusts and that little mech surprised us. I do agree that it would be toast if people saw it though.

I am assuming that the Kit Fox will be smaller than the Cicada so it may have an advantage in profile but the fact that you said it was "so so" and not a deathtrap gives me hope that it is possible to make it work.
