I use the all energy variant with a 355 engine it's fast nimble and packs a punch at mid range, the other versions are pretty similar but trade lasers for missiles.

hate them all
however, I had the best results with the 4H (3missile hardpoints) as streak hunter...

I'd recommend the 5K.

The 4G used to be good, but PPCs have kinda fallen a bit, so the 4H is better since you can boat more SRM/Streaks in it. The 4G's arms are exceptional at absorbing damage due to increased movement... but that's it.

Yep, I've been using 5K even in competitive for a long time. Now with the Shawks around there's no more need for the QKDs, though they were beasts with 2ML 3PPCs as I used the 5K back when no heat penalties nor ghost heat was present.
To me 5K>4H>4G.

It's not about the heatsinks (although it is a factor in favor of the Jester), but the Jester suffers the same issues that the Catapults have - easy to core.
It was never a problem in the Quickdraw (despite it being needlessly tall).

Lolno... the jester has something like 5 more tons for heatsinks with the same loadout and really feels more agile than those quickies.
With the same armor (400), engine (350XL), and loadout (2LL, 4ML), the Jester can load a second AMS with ammo and 3 more HS at the cost 8 KPH (104 vs 96) than a Quickdraw. Quickdraw could forgo the AMS for 2 more HS if droped a half-ton of armor (since at 400 points it;s only 2 off max, so can easily shave a few off the legs), so they're close. Quickdraw has a missile slot as well, offering a little more flexability in the loadout. The biggest difference then is arm movement.
They're close, it's probably a matter of preference.

That's right but what the giant CT is for the Cat, so are those big legs for the quickies. I get legged 70-80% before I die in a quickdraw...

That is why putting max armor in them is important. The arms on the Quickdraw can lose some armor at least, since that is not the focal point of the weapons.
If you're piloting the Quickdraw correctly, all parts of the body will take damage, including the legs and still be very functional.
