Vlad Ward - He's a Crusader Wolf Khan and suck-up to the Jade Falcons
Katherine - She is a diabolical Archon that ruined House Steiner and the Federated Commonwealth (though some of it was Victor's fault).
Thomas Marik (both real and fake) - I hate both WOB puppets and Marik greatly
Marthe Pryde - I just don't like her
Paul Moon- I despise this man and Clan Smoke Jaguar altogether.

Some? Whole dang thing was his fault because he had no b@lls.
Spent way to much time trying to get in to Omi's kimono, time that would have been better spent unifying his country, and preparing to fight an all out grinding war against the Clan the moment the truce ended.
As to his Katherine problem, he should have gone Hanse on her a$$. If Hanse had a tenth of the issues with his sister Marie that Victor had with Katherine, she would have woken up one morning in a room on a very cold ice planet in a very distant star system spending her remaining years struggling to just survive trying to figure out what the hell happened.
Or would have used her machinations against her to the point where she would have had to flee (see file under Hasek-Davion, Michael)

Destroying Aidan's mech in his first Trial was a ****** thing to do, but since Aidan engaged multiple targets first, it was a free for all, and she was completely within her rights to attack him.
Haven't read any of the Davion/Lyran books after Tukkayid, so I can't really comment on Katrina...
Vlad was just a jealous douche.
Maximilian Liao and all of his offspring. Burn them all to the ground and let none from that blood line survive.

He admitted that was a mistake.
And i think Katherine would have murdered Melissa anyway. Can you justify it?

Can only attribute it to either Hanse figuring he himself figured it all out on his own... Kinda (Hanse was born the second son who was not anticipated to be the political ruler) Maybe viewed it as letting Victor sink or swim on his own.
Or Hanse was self absorbed enough to put it off the way some older adults put off making a will, figuring once they do they might die...
Either way Melissa Steiner should have at the very least put a political apparatus of senior advisors in place around Victor to help both Victor and the new Federated Commonwealth Government ride out the transition from 2 sovereign dynastic rulers to 1.
All that said Victor Davion still deserved a PPC blast to the head

Victor was only starting to come into his training when the Clans hit - and everyone was "to busy" afterwards to sit down and train him.
He may not be the best character out there - but he is hardly the Mary Sue everyone labels him as.

I agree, I figure its why FASA chose 3049-50 to introduce the clans at that point, because the Federated Commonwealth monster that they constructed was the 5000 pound gorilla that if you keep consistent to what had been established was a near undefeatable organization.
By the time of the clan invasion they are the largest economic, industrial, and advanced experienced military power in the Inner Sphere. Also as written in the lore, Hanse Davion was the best ruler/leader/driving force the IS had seen since the end of the Star League.
The entire timeline shift was designed to reign in the "good guys" monster they had created. Enter the clans at a time where the extending storyline can plausibly continue to hamstring that gorilla with inexperienced leadership (after Hanse exits at the end of the invasion) while both leads to the dissolution of the Steiner/Davion axis, but also plausibly avoid the biggest 2 practical shortcomings of the clan invasion/occupation3052-60+, namely:
1: none of the clans were as listed in their source books (according to what I found in sarna) to being large enough to withstand any serious push of that gorilla (each clans TO&E shows them with between 3 to 5 front line Galaxies 3 to 5 secondline/sohlima(sp?)galaxies, which when broken down means the Jade Falcons and Steel Vipers AND Wolves effectively are only had between 25 to 30 galaxies of total military force. That would have been countered by 60 to 90 of the 130 to 150 RCTs the Fed Coms would have had in House Steiner by summer of 3052.
2: After the initial drive to match Star League era specs on their mechs (with given the time with the Star League memory core and Wolfs Dragoons should happen swiftly both in upgrading to the new specs, but retasking that gigantic industrial base to churning out that equipment by the mega ton) but not getting to invasion clan spec rather quickly as well. They captured plenty of examples of clan tech to reverse engineer, and in 3051 the Dragoons basically offer up the keys to the clan tech machine shop (been rereading the BoK trilogy recently, what Jamie Wolf offers the IS powers should have had them up to at least 3022 clan spec within 3 to 5 years - and nothing I've found shows that the clans made any quantum leaps in those last 30 years, for all intents and purposes the clan technological advantage should have been gone by 3057 at the latest.
But you avoid all that by killing off Hanse and letting Victor be a dense *****.
But still would have loved to see him get a PPC to the head...

But in terms of the lore / pulp fiction novels personally I'd love to see series detailing both the Rim World Republic War/Fall of the Star League, but also a novel series about the exodus, and the founding of the clans.
Another trilogy personally i'd love to see a true origin novel about Wolfs Dragoons told mostly from Natasha Kerensky's POV. Starting from the political grand council in fighting to the first contact in the Federated Suns through their getting mixed up in the Marik civil war, to the fateful day when they are ordered to abandon the original mission and full fill a Warden deception against the Clans themselves. Through it all I think Natasha would be the character who would change the most over the years, and with a half decent writer it would make an interesting story to read IMHO.

Worst wet dream character of an immature munchkin there is. Also the story arc got so horribly wrong an flat with his overflowing goodness it is to much to bear.
His unit? Heck he is Victor Davion, give him the 10th Lyran Guards and a whole Comstar Division for bonus!
His mech? Heck he is Victor Davion, give him a modified all Clan tech 100 ton Daishi!
His sweetheart? Heck he is Victor Davion, after beeing boss of two major faction why not let him whisper sweet things with miss Kurita of a third big faction!
His close combat skills? Heck he is Victor Davion, he decapitates clan elemental Khans with his Katana!
Ah and by the way, he can even survive a gauss rifle round to the cockpit of his mech! Guess he has good teeth and caught the round with it - he is Victor Davion after all....

His woman? He lost her, because he is Victor Davion!
His mother? He lost her, because he is Victor Davion!
What an unlucky man, guys..

1.Sun-tzu and Kali Liao- actually the whole leadership of the Cappellan Federation.
2. Katrina Steiner- Real piece of work- killed her own mother and is a class a manipulator of everyone around her.
