Will January 31st times be changing as well?

EDIT: Also, can you update your first post and http://binarybeast.com to reflect the changes in time to avoid confusion?

good point, changed it

at the moment it is not planned to change the times on the 31st of January
however, if there is enough request to do so and no objection we might consider to do so.

The intent is the same as when Mech the Dane asked us to "dont meta up" in the Yule Tournament. But since we are trying to get sponsors to support us right from the first day we needed to make a proper rule out of this.

Hehehehe
It worked =D

Informal Victory.

So stereotypically true. I am surprised you guys survived the lawlessness of the Yule Tournament at all. It would have driven lesser Germans mad.

In the meantime you've got the facebook bump:

The Viking Lance Tournament is geting closer day by day. Time for a quick update on its developement for all those who participate or just are interested in it.

By now we have 18 registrations of which 3 are reservations for teams who will hopefully have the time to participate. I would like to consider the other 15 as confirmed. But since we changed the tournament bracket service after registration had already started I would like you to look over my list and tell me if there is anyhing wrong.

1st Rasalhague Dragonregimente
Solahma Steve (1st Rasalhague Dragonregimente)
1st WD Rasselbande
Aseveljet, 478th Drunken Squirrel Brigae
Aseveljet, IVth Y.M.C.A. Squad
Death Rattlers Pack
Mechanised Hussary
Shieldwall of Rasalhague
Shieldwall of Rasalhague - 313 (I fear there might be something wrong here, I sure hope not)
Skjaldborg 2
mielona (I guess Stormwolfe, Wolfman etc.?)
Blue Vengeance 1 - 1st Acolythes Protecion Agency
Blue Vengeance 2 - Fangs of Fenris
Blue Vengeance 3 - Beep Boop Pew Pew
Blue Vengeance 4 - ?

If there is something wrong just tell me in this tread. You can also tell me if you want to add, or change a teamname.
It also would be great if I had a contact person in each team, in case I need to make a request of any kind. There are still some teams I dont have a single playername from.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

So what will come next?

Since we have still space for some more teams I will open the registration for units from different houses. We already had some merc units interested to join in. If you got any friends who would like to participate, FRR or not, please invite them to register. More teams mean more matches for everyone.

As soon as I have enough confirmed teams I will be able to make a precise drop scedule wich tells you when you will need to be at our TS3 server. I hope this will enable us to pull this of as frictionless as possible.
Since we will have two qualification groups going on the same time you can expect that you will have about 15 minutes to rebuy consumables and ready up between each drop you will perform. But the dropgroups you will start in will need to be reorganised several times. I will try to find the easiest sollution for that in my dropscedules.
My goal is to plan this ahead as good as I possibly can to minimize the time we lose in between.

Theoretically, we have enough interest for another Skjaldborg team. However, many will likely not be able to participate 1 week or another, so we've limited it to 1 team with a lot of backups.

If you'd like Klapp, we could add that other team, but we'd likely switch out members back and forth between the two teams as need be. If you don't like the idea, we'll just keep it the 1 team.

Statistically, its 4 people with 5 or so on reserve.

@Damon Howe:
If I understand you correct you would be able to have two teams but there probably would be players who play in both?

If that is what you mean that would only be possible if both teams would start at different qualification days, i.e. one at friday and the other at saturday. The scedule of each qualification day would not allow switching inbetween teams.
Each team will be either in drop or in preparation for the next drop.

But if you can bring 8 pilots at each tournament day but just not always the same, that would be no problem.

Hello Klapp,

Wolfman420 will be leading a group consisting of Mielona, Marcin Fabrycy, and myself. I hope this clears that up some sir.

I'm also forming a lance. Mostly made up of my fellow 3:1:2 members. I have a few friends in other regiments though to fill out and act as reserve. They ARE all FRR affiliated pilots.

Mindwyrm hinted me about this. So I'll try to find 3 fellow vikings from DHB and we'll join up for the mead hazed brawl promised here. (if we are not too late...)

edit:

Signed up a team from Deaths Hand Brigade: DHB: 2nd 'Death Guard': lance 'Jötunheimr'

Team will have only FRR affiliated members amongst the mercs in the unit. I will give our spot to any team from 'genuinely FRR' unit if no space is left for them. I will also withdraw the registration if affiliation is challenged, as DHB is a merc unit in general affiliation, there just happen to be bunch of us FRR'ers in the unit for reasons not discussed here, let's just say the salary and benefits are a bit better in merc'ing than in one of those Dragonregimentes...

I don't think there should be a challange to your affiliation Helmet. I can pretty much guess the other pilots in your lance, and I know your all FRR pilots through and through. You just work for a different merc company now.

We will have some few Merc guys with us anyway. We opened the registration so we can be sure to get full.

Now I saw the definition of "pinpoint damage". Would 6 MLs be allowed?
(I am not in a unit at the moment but I may sign up for this tourney)

medium lasers are damage over time, they don't do the pin point damage, since they can sweep their damage.

Pinpoint only regards PPC, ER PPC, AC2, AC5, AC10, AC 20 and Gauss. That are ALL weapons that to pinpoint damage.

For example: A Cataphract with 3 AC10s does 30 points pinpoint damage and is prohibited. The same Cataphract with 2 AC10s and 1 LB10X does 30 points damage as well, but only 20 points of pinpoint, so it is allowed.

You're making me wish my friends still played this game. This sounds like a lot of fun especially since I am a 45-55 tonner specialist. I would totally be a Space Viking for such benefits. Bleh
