As you see we have added some mercenaries and even some draconians to our rooster. I know the FRR has mixed feelings towards those fellas, but please behave. You will have your chance with them in the tournament.

Also there are some teams that don´t have been properly named yet. If you want your team to be renamed just send me an PM. If you are unhappy with the group your team is in, do the same, we still can change that quite easily.

Furthermore. If there are any teams who are interested in joining the tournament but haven´t been able to get a spot. Just contact me and I will ad you to the waiting list. If any of the registered teams do not show up at the day of the tournament you may be able to step in for them. But you will have to be online for that.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Additionally I have some words on what you can expect how the Qualification Rounds will go down.
Just as in the Yule Tournament we will drop in 12v12 Drops. In each drop we will play two matches. For every match both teams get a grid square as their starting position. When both teams have reached it the match will begin. From that moment on you will have 6 minutes to do your worst.
The team that anihilates their opponents will get 4 points, if both teams have members still standing at the end of the match, they will get one point each for every Mech they took down.
You will fight all 5 teams that are in your qualification group.

There will be two qualification groups droping consecutively. After your drop you will have the time the other drop takes to rebuy consumables, reorganize drop groups (every two drops) or to watch the competition on the twitch.tv stream.

We will stream every match, so you don´t have to bother with that. All of the streams will be live and archived on http://www.twitch.tv/bluevengeance

For all of you who don´t have it already I will post the address of our TeamSpeak3 server in this thread prior to the tournament.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

If you should have any questions left feel free to contact me.
I am really looking forward to this!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

P.s.: Changes in the assignment to the different dropgroups are in italic. IfI didn´t talked to you about anychanges you arenot affected by them.

At popular Request the FRR hub will be hosting a viewing chat room for those that want to hang out, drink some mead, and watch the brawls. Whenever I get the link for the twitch.tv channel I will link it to the room for convenience as well.

I got to admit, I did it only after you had the idea.
I think it was just too late and they sure get a lot of mail.

Only 24 hours left until the Viking Lance Tournament will be launched!
96 players in 24 teams will battle for victory. And hopefully will have shitloads of fun.

This will be my final official post prior to the tournament. From now on it wont be possible to change the qualificationgroup you are in. However it will be possible to give your team a proper name if it has not been named properly yet.
(Mielone, Wolfman, Stormwolfe, I´m thinking of you.)

The following group assignments will be the final drop order.

Qualification Group A - Friday, 31st January 2014 - 8pm central european time / 11am pacific standard time
Blue Vengeance / 1st Acolythes Protection Agency
Aseveljet / IVth Y.M.C.A. Squad
1st WD / Rasselbande
Dudesclub / Nihilisten
Deaths Hand Brigade / DoktorTotenkopf
Blue Vengeance / Fangs of Fenris

Qualification Group B - Friday, 31st January 2014 - 8pm central european time / 11am pacific standard time
Blue Vengeance / The Lead Eagles
Aseveljet / 478th Drunken Squirrel Brigade
Deaths Hand Brigade / Sgt. Helmet
Dudesclub / Verteidiger des Teppichs (Carpet Defenders)
Blue Vengeance / Blue Templars
36th Dieron Regulars

Qualification Group C - Saturday, 01st February 2014 - 10pm central european time / 1pm pacific standard time
Blue Vengeance / Beep Boop Pew Pew
1st RDR #1
Isengrim #1
Skjaldborg / Fluffypinkbunny

Skjaldborg / Damon Howe
Skjaldborg / Mindwyrm
Death Rattler´s Pack

Again. Therese are the final assignments!

------------------------------------------------------------

The whole thing will go down on the Blue Vengeance TS3 Server:
IP: 85.114.154.190:10470
PW: bv

You can see the Livebrackets on the binarybeast.com site of the tournament
http://binarybeast.com/x1401035
(Please keep in mind that the order of the games shown on binarybeast is not the actual one, since we need to rely on forcing the MW:O UI to do something it isnt supposed to do.)

You will find the Livestream on our twitch.tv channel
http://www.twitch.tv/bluevengeance

Also there will be a seperate channel on the FRR Hub TS for everyone who wants to watch the games live, check out the competition, exchange some trashtalk and / or chat with the other spectators.
IP: 162.243.239.158:9725
PW: Dragon

------------------------------------------------------------

I am looking forward to the whole thing and hope to see all of the registered players ingame and a lot more in the public viewing channel on the FRR Hub.

The first Tournament Day is over!
Unfortunately not everything went as we hoped.
We had to disquallify one team for non-attendance and in Qualificationgroup 1 almost everything that could go wrong DID go wrong.
We sincerely apologize for the perlonged time of waiting and the inconvinience. And we allready have made changes to our plans to ensure a better experience for the coming days.

In Group 1 everything is still possible. The 1st-WD Rasselbande could only play one match. But, with 4 matches still to go, they still have a good chance to enter the elimination rounds, despite their loss today. The Deaths Hand Brigade team of DoktorTotenkopf was able to win 2 matches and hold a shaky first place in the ranking.
Fangs of Fenris, the Nihilists, and the IVth Y.M.C.A. Squad, with each 1 win and 1 loss all remain in striking distance to the top spots.

In Group 2 we already have the first Team that was able to secure their place in the elimination rounds. The Defenders of the Rug where able to win all 3 of their games and are stand secure on the top spot. But The Lead Eagles and SgtDeath´s Death Hand Brigade team with 2 wins each remain hot contesters for a place in the sun.
Even the 478th Drunken Squirrel Brigade with 1 win and 1 loss has a good chance to remain in the tournament.
Only the Blue Templars who had to replace two players on short notice had a hard stand in this strong group and suffered three losses in a row. They surely will be determined to leave the tournament with at least one proper victory on their list.
(For each match that would have taken place against the disqualified team a win was awarded to the remaining teams)

We have seen a lot of fast paced, action packed matches today and it might be a great idea to check out the archived streams on http://www.twitch.tv.../pastBroadcasts

-------------------------------------------------------------

I hope everyone had enjoyed themselves, despite of the inconvieniences we had to endure. And I´m looking forward to see all participating teams again next friday for the second half of the qualification rounds.

Tomorrow we will have Groups 3 and 4 battle each other for the entry to the elimination rounds and I expect those matches to become equally exciting as those we had today.

It was fun, well at least different from the usual 12man / 4man / pugging and thank you for the effort so far.

Good games today.

if you have any questions about organization, feel free to ask, after my first day of drops in the Yule Tournament I had to make some changes to make the process faster and smoother (and I didn't really get it right until the final week). But then, you are Germans, so I imagine your organizational skills tower over mine =D.

In the meantime I'm excited for next week and the bracket update! (gonna be cool to see how everyone fared overall)

Was a great lot of fun, even the match we got stomped in. Good work there Mechanized Hussars.

I can only find the matches that were streamed by Lord Nicon. Can you direct me to the matches streamed by Mira Bo?

Quite the "Korkeajännitys" feeling in the streams with the announcer. +1 for those

Don't understand much though, but fun to watch and scout other teams.

lol who doesn't like to watch people battle it out to an excited German announcer!

I was told next week they'll try to have one of the announcers use English..
