This is exactly the kind of attitude behind why I nicknamed my HBK "David". ;)

The only ones who are going to denounce the OPness of DUALBX through 1 tube are elitists who can't run anything but bloated heavies/assaults, and they still tumble like dominos for the most part even in 1vs 1 situations.

I'm giving PGI fair warning that if they allow players to continue to abuse the mech bay by cramming excessive parts into unintended slots, you're going to have builds like mine absolutely wrecking people then go blaming it on FoTM builds on the forums or worse, leaving for greener pastures.

Once you climb out of what ever underhive you are in, you will not be able to carry in a very slow hunchback with a 20dmg alpha with an effect range of about 300m.

Once 3/4 of every mech is meta and many good pilots are on the field, mechs like 60kph hunchies are not going to be doing very much carrying.

And the elitist chimes in once again with his buddy to /like the post. It's cool son downplay it all you want because you can't get on this level.

I'd have to sandbag my Elo to get on your level.

If I'm not mistaken the Atlas DDC also has a single barrel which it spews lead from. Is this a glitch on the Hunchback or could this trick work on other builds? Should I bring my Shotgun atlas out of mothball for a few rounds?

Sounds a fun build Lockwood, i sometimes run dual LBX10s on my protector and its pretty effective, but my AC20 version is way more dangerous.
I think i will give this build a try tho for something different.

Congrats on furthering the COD agenda that PGI and the basement dwellers that PGI targets with this game meta are pushing. I'm sure they appreciate your support.

I'll keep playing without giving more money to them until someone comes out and builds what PGI promised, a Battlemech Simulator.

This made me want to buy a hunch just to see what dual lbx 10 in a single tube! I have a "fun" dd jager that I use the 2 lbx 10, 4 machine guns and 2 med las to good effect. I would imagine that firing both from one spot would be even better!

Lockwood is bad and everything he says about this game is consistently wrong.

Nobody fears LBs and you're not doing 40 damage to anyone unless all of their armor is gone AND you get lucky with crits. Otherwise, you're a suboptimal build that is slow and easy to take out but still requires you to be very close to your target to get most of your damage onto one location. That's a whole lot of "ifs" and "maybes" for what amounts to only 30 pulls of the trigger before you're useless.

Ammo in the torso?

-10/20

Put them in the legs

Also remove the arm armor if you aren't going to store weapons in them.

http://mwo.smurfy-ne...8cfe965340b3197

Superior to the OPs build in every way.

But to be honest you're better off getting a heavy mech with this load out, especially if it has JJs.

The only thing hunch can do is MLAS under an atlas arm pit.

Lockwoodx, get good

I have not played this game in months and I've refined your build.

no wait,

http://mwo.smurfy-ne...7a70db010ae8058

now I have refined it and with JJs!

NO WAIT!...

http://mwo.smurfy-ne...ece8eb552b2f1d6

there now its pay 2 win, just like momma pggi used to make, ha ha ha ha!

god this game is so dead people can't make mechs any more! GLORIOUS!

Why did you put all your ammo in the left shoulder??? Now you can't use that shoulder to tank hits, cuz when you lose it you don't have ANY ammo left at all.

Thats not all, if the armor gets popped and sets off the ammo the explosion will travel into his CT and he'll either die or come very close.

god the people in this game are so stuuuuuupid and its no surprise they're fine with still playing it and giving into pgi/igp.

Lol.

I used to run a build like this in closed beta just for giggles, it's a bad build that can be funny from time to time, but that's it.

Video of you one-shotting something or I'm just going to continue to think you are wildly exaggerating. Because seriously, you'd be lucky to 1-shot a locust with a pair of LBx, much less anything else.

Pro-Tip. If someone is already damaged and you kill them you didn't "one-shot" anything. You just mopped up.

Op's build is pretty bad tbh,the first thing I go for on a hunchback is the hunch and one that goes 60kph is a walking coffin.A light will also eat your back with 2 armour.

I've pretty much got the same setup on a shadowhawk, but with Jump jets!

I'd love to see a recording of you playing a match in that loadout. Like others said, I'm having trouble picturing a successful 60 kph hunchback. Speed was the first thing I upgraded when I got a hunchback.

BTW, I touched up your build some to improve things a little bit. I thought CASE was a waste with your tonnage starved build. I shuffled your armor values around to make them better, I removed the medium head laser and replaced it with 3 small lasers. I split your ammo up between a leg and an arm to prevent a single shot from draining your ammo dry. Finally, I moved heatsinks around some to act as better buffers for your internal items.

Protip: If you use to use a build back in beta that was bad, chances are it's better now and the user is stuck in their ways. The only real baddies are the ones who don't evolve and adapt.

I love it how many haters this thread attracted because genuine elitists want to protect their privies. All their pissy about is that a medium can whoop on their assaults for half the tonnage which I find hilarious.

On a side note I gave you guys something to genuinely discuss over crying about the usual builds. You're welcome and have fun in your new BOOM-BACKS!

The trick is to link the Gauss rifle to the medium lasers (although, I built this at the height of the "MG" meta, before the Gauss nerf). By the time you're done firing the lasers, the Gauss Rifle is ready to fire. Just remember the hold the firing button down... it should still work post-Gauss nerf.

If you snipe though, you're on your own (it's doable).
