Sparks Murphey looks forward each year to the Australian version of Thanksgiving. It is quite similar to the American version, but with kangaroos instead of turkeys, rugby instead of football, and Foster's beer instead of gravy. Also, somewhat different than the US custom of guests going around the table listing things they are thankful for, Australians discuss their favorite lame Australian stereotypes perpetrated by Americans (while AC/DC plays in the background, of course).

The kitchen staff wants nothing to do with this, and has sworn to vacate the mess hall when he comes to prepare.

Kankoapus was a huge failure, mostly because while kangaroos are tasty, koalas spend most of their lives marinating in eucalyptus oil, while platypuses have honest-to-god venom sacks.
