WonderSparks is faster than a speeding bullet but surprisingly slower than a fired bullet. Upon closer inspection, it was discovered that he's only faster than a speeding bullet if the bullet is driving through a school zone at the time of speeding.
It is rumored that this is the reason why Batman was able to shoot him with Kryptonite bullets during their last altercation. The Bat was careful to avoid school zones during their battle, and expressly forbade his bullets from pursuing WonderSparks via car. Instead, he made certain that each bullet was fired after WonderSparks.
Ironically, it was revealed later that WonderSparks is not susceptible to Kryptonite like his idol, Superman. However, he also does not have superhuman endurance, so the projectiles were enough to finish him. National mourning has been scheduled to correspond with his high profile funeral, while Batman has been incarcerated for murdering the do-gooder. In a recent, courtroom interview, the Bat is cited as saying, "How was I supposed to know that he was just some random vigilante in a suit and that he couldn't take a bullet?"
The irony of the Bat's statement will not be forgotten as WonderSparks, hero, friend, and mentor, is laid to rest this Monday. R.I.P. and down with the Bat!
