hmm, even tho we dont know who our team is gonna be, its our choice to enter the mactch(a match) srry MWO is a little more organized than that

LOL ... are you trying to say that by just deciding to participate in a game then it is automatically not a "Pick Up" game?

That certainly seems to be what you are saying and I would have to disagree. Agreeing to participate in any activity in which your team mates are randomly assigned is a pick up game ... whether it is selecting sides for dodge ball in gym ... playing shinny hockey with whoever turns up on a Tuesday night ... or choosing to play a match of MWO. You choose the sport and time, the teams are chosen randomly ... making it a Pick Up game (or group).

Wow ... enough wasted time on semantics  ... if its a troll then it was somewhat effective

pug can mean pick up game or pick up group.
as pick up game it equates to dropping solo in MWO
As pick up group it equates to going on a TS and grouping with players to drop AND work as a team.

Pre-made can mean anything from a pick up group to a well defined, long established unit where the members have spent hundreds of hours in drops together.

I propose we from a convention to codify and regulate these and future terms, so these game breaking issues can be resolved in a parliamentary manner. Each state or territory should promptly hold caucus to select several delegates to send to this convocation.

I now open the floor to nominations for the location of this Grand Conclave, somewhere warm with nice beaches and entertainment is of course mandatory.

Yeah itll teach you how to F'ing play. When I was new I wasn't expecting my hand to be held. I learned by getting my butt kicked. I'm sorry but if your training in anything competitive there's a great chance that the other person is greater than you and your going to get your arse kicked before you learn anything. Also I have pugged plenty of times and won against premades as well as gone in with a pre and had my butt to me. It's all a matter of how the team in its entirety plays out. A lot of times the QQ'ers are the ones that helped cause the loss in the first place. Yeah just sit behind that hill when you see a lance plus push in with your large lasers thinking that your really helping out. SMH

I was under the impression that being taught how to play a game was presented via tutorials and a few easy mode scenarios, but then i could be totally wrong about this............not everyone is like you, some like to get to grips with things before jumping in, test the water so to speak......ah well its obvious that the experienced players enjoy splatting the new players all over the map then tell them im teaching you how to play the game mmmmmmm
I'm not quite sure where the problem is here,, the coding or the mentality

I second this and nominate all geographic locations with beaches and lax alcohol and clothing laws

Your post does a great job at properly blaming the horrible new players experience.
It does a poor job at solving that by blaming premades

New players need their own queues while learning the game. Only allow dev approved applicants from the veteran community to drop with them and offer advice and tips.
This improves the new player experience, not blaming premades

Funny my nephew had his first kill in 3 games. There's plenty of material. Thing is Multiplayer games are well Multi. I don't recall not getting my butt handed to me for a while in any shooter. There's no story mode here, but the game cost you nothing so while you learn what are you reall losing?

Curious to know how many new players were actually on the losing team.

Curious to know how many new players were actually on the winning team.

This may suggest that some new players may get to win or lose. But I might be reaching.

I've been on the winning team when we had 3 disco's so I find no point that being 1 or more down is an automatic loss.

instead of bitching at each others comments can we for just 1 page hold an intellectual conversation at the issue i first posted which was addressing the new players first experience of the game and to try and get a larger pool of players so that the match maker be given a fair chance to work.
Or are alot of you so obsessed with bitching for likes.....jeez peeps

Its not about proving or disproving but maintaining a conversation to aid in the improvement of a gaming experience for those that dont have a clue about this game, i bet when you learnt to walk one of your parents was there to hold your hand and teach you, yes you fell a few times but that is the process of learning, im quite sure you were not just left to your own devices and laughed at or trolled each time you fell flat on your face.

MWO cant be a pick up game becuase no one actually enters the game when it is starting. there is a clear matchmaking process that is to be and then the game decides where to put you(work in progress). You guys cant just make stuff up.

It has nothing to do with pre-mades
it has nothing to do with starting a game without being in a premade

Mawai, your an *****, i cant even begin to say how much so, pre-read before you post.

Abivard-thats a no to the highest. its just a simple defiion of joining in a game while in progress.

I guess MWO online will become a PUG game if they allow people to join in the match in progress.

i'm not trying to blame anyone but pointing out that it is pre-mades that new players a put up against which is a tough way to get introduced to a game, especially if you want that player to buy something, there is only so much of a beating you can take before you end up walking away.
