How Much Will Clan-Mechs Cost In Cb?

And they will be much more expensive in CB than IS-Mechs because they are better than IS-Mechs.
Has anybody crunched the numbers yet? Starting from the prices of the Clan-packages, how much CB will a Clan-Mech cost?
5 million for a Kit Fox?
20 million for a Warhawk?

Pricing should be inline

That will still happen even if Clan tech is only slightly better.

For players that miss the Clan Packs they will be massively end game content.

PGI has also stated that they plan clan weapons to be about the same power as IS ones but with some differences to offer flavour. From their examples this means that the weapons will be better in some characteristics and worse in others.
e.g. stuff like
less damage + less heat
more damage + more heat
less damage + improved range
etc
This is a complete break with clan technology from table top since they plan to make clan mechs and IS mechs individually competitive with each other so that they can be dropped on mixed teams (on both sides) without significantly affecting match balance. Only time will tell if this actually works.
At least initially, it sounds as if there will be no clan pilots ... everyone will be IS with either IS or captured clan equipment.

They never said they won't be better than IS mechs. They just said they will be balanced.
In Paul's Clan Tech preview, he outlines how they plan on balancing Clan weapons so that they are not game breakingly more powerful like the TT versions were. However, the Clan tech is still more powerful...it's just a little more balanced than it is in TT by using existing mechanics in MWO.
Clan mechs will be more expensive than IS mechs because they will, for all intents and purposes, be marginally better than IS mechs...even with the limitations of fixed engines, armor, internals, etc. How much better remains to be seen.

I'm three close to owning every mech currently available, I'm a Cicada, and two Trebuchet short, most are 1/1 or 0/1 mastered, there is a 50 tonne hero out tonight. which makes four, its reasonable to asume, all the older chasis, will get a hero before the pheonix, that leaves three, plus eight phoenix.
So what hooks are PGI going to produce to keep me here until october (asuming CW is on its third projected date now)
yes guys that's own, not ground, I finance PGI through hero's and mech bays..its people like me that have kept this game afloat, and I want to know what pgi are going to do, thats going to be keeping me shelling out the £ and the intrest to make me want to.
don't say clans *face palm*

1.They will be better (even if it's only slightly, it's still better.)
2. They will be available for real money a LONG TIME before they are available for C-Bills.
3. The C-Bill cost will be very high, meaning more grind and that people paying for premium accounts can get them sooner.
4. If they have variants, you will need to grind xp for all the models. Again the grind will be excessive and people with money will pay to get around it.
It seems obvious to me that anyone that wants a fully upgraded, mastered Mad Cat without spending a cent is gonna have to grind, grind, grind for a LONG TIME.

Kit Fox: around 16 mil
Nova: around 34 mil
Summoner: around 64 mil
Dire Wolf: around 88 mil
Adder: around 21 mil
Stormcrow: around 45 mil
Timber Wolf: around 72 mil
Warhawk: around 80 mil
There's a lot of grind right there, very expensive Clan tech.

CW FTW

There's going to be plenty of IS warriors that aren't going to switch to clans. I will use clan mechs (what can I say, I'm a sucker for my timber wolf although I'd take a Marauder and Whammy) but I'll be sticking firmly within the inner sphere. If PGI ups their game and convinces me they're actually developing stuff, I'll have the Masakari pack but I'll still be running around all Marikian handing out bacon

According to sarna.net a Timber Wolf Prime is slightly over 24 million C-Bills but it comes with Endo, Ferro, DHS already so it saves you 2.25 million in upgrades. So it you buy 3 of them, you will spend roughly 75 million.
