So, you guys took a look at the long standing cries of balance.

You looked at Pulse Lasers, and said, "Yep, these are great."
You looked at Large Lasers and said "Yeah, 2 is a fine limit for these."
You looked at SRMs and went "Well, no need to buff velocity or pattern here, hit detection is apparently good enough."
You looked at Flamers and said "A ton well spent!"
You looked at NARCs and figured "These things are just swell."
You looked at Machine Guns, and stuck right on with them.

Then you look at the AC/10 and think "Man, that sure does need a velocity nerf, it's almost getting somewhat usable" before turning and slapping the AC/20 to the ground for the crime of not being an AC/5.

Is there a quota of like 5 viable guns in the game, so you keep having to break/nerf any that go over that limit? Is that why PGI couldn't, I don't know, fix these other major issues before messing with something nobody at all wanted?

It is the simplest way make high-alpha PPC+(2x)AC10 builds more difficult to pilot. Maybe you have not noticed how popular these are recently.

Nobody is using the 2x AC/10s all that much. 2x AC/5s and 2x UAC/5s, sure....

You are not using something != nobody is using something. Maybe one day you will realize that.

People were using it, so it had to be nerfed... I think that's the logic used here.

Still mostly see AC 5, UAC 5, and AC 2 spam with PPC's, so the AC 10 wasn't the big problem, IMHO.

Actually, it might depend on your ELO and who you rank with, when I drop in a 4man group, a LOT of players were using 2 PPC, 1 AC10...also multiple ER LL and AC10. There were 2 UAC5 Trylanders and other things....but AC10's were basically a replacement to Gauss Rifle charge-time.

Not to say PGI is just nerfing what ever works, there are just too many of the same high alpha poptart cookie cutters. If you haven't noticed yet, poptarts have been making a HUGE return. Es no bueno. If you reduce the velocity, it will allow properly skilled poptart pilots to adapt, and will cause the Meta-Leeches (Those who ONLY pilot what ever is meta), to go find more useful builds that suit their playstyle.

ac10 got nerfed because poptarts ware using it?

too bad no one could say "you cant use ac's [any of them] in mid air because of recoil." to nerf poptarts...

even after "successful clan mech announcement" pgi cant see that what they are doing is not working the way they would want to.
