I got the Death's Knell. been a blast so far. it's so weird how tanky it feels compared to the Locust, even thought it doesn't seem like much because it's just a few points more of armor. The Locust still feels more nimble (comparing both unelited), but the Commando cockpit view is so much better haha. Still gotta remember that it's a squishy little guy so can't be too brave.

I run mine for speed, with 4 ML. Doesn't seem like much (really isn't), but I hit 580 dmg my first game, so those little pew pews can add up if you are able to stay in the fight. I notice that the arms get blown off pretty easily compared to the Locusts. I've already had a couple games in TDK where both arms have been lost, where in over 150 Locust games combined it's only happened about the same amount of times (tend to just get kliled in Locust lol).

It's fun when a shot that woulda blown you away in the Locust "only" turns your CT cherry red in the commando

Funny, I lose lots of arms in my Locusts and Jenners. I'm really good at dodging and shielding, so I go through those tiny little pods like gravy.

dusted off the old 3M for the trick or treat thing for the first time in ages (usually it's the 1E and 3S i use the most) and ended up on crimson straights. very simple dual AMS 3ML (never overheats no matter how many times i alpha in a row pretty much) xl 190 setup.

and after months of trying to get the damned thing in one match with the 3M i finally got philanthropist. 0 kills 12 assists and 320 dmg (no arty/airstrike). i almost unknowingly ruined it but being second to last killing shot on three different mechs that i noticed. just scooted around the buildings, shot at any red mech that turned up and ran around like a manic. final score was 12-8 and i was still at about 70% health at the end. so yup, couldn;t do it with LRM boats, or streak boats, or any of my jenners (did get a 1 kill 10 assist match in the jenner F a few matches later though) or any of my fast laser mediums. nope it was the "crappy" Locust that i didn;t even fill all the hardpoints on that got the achievement for me.

now if you'll excuse me gotta hop into my spider-urbie for a match or two

Yes i re-bought the Locust V and Cicada C from those vids.
Imagine 2-3 of those Locusts just sweeping the legs from under heavies...
I wonder whats in store for the Commando?

Ill have to get a HBK G as well, but ammo on that is gonna burn fast.

I've yet to break 1,000 damage in ANY mech, even my Griffin and Jagers. I'll be really p-o'd if it happens when decide I try an LRM boat. (shudder... dirty LRM boats... )

4 machine guns and a medium laser.

I totally would have gotten 6 kills if I didn't run out of ammo
A few of those guys were equipped only with regular PPC's so I just hounded them at point-blank. I also got a serendipitous amount of ammo explosions and dropped arty on a big cluster at a choke point.

LRM boats can break over 1K without too much trouble, but they spread that damage like cream cheese. No precision what-so-ever.

And that was more or less a one-time deal. I'm pretty damn happy with myself when I break 500 damage in the locust.

first time I broke 1k.. BLR-1S missile boat lol. ballstic assault seems to be the easiet way for me to do it. Most of my games over 1k damage have been split between the Dire Whale and the BLR-1D. I don't have the 1D anymore, but i sure miss it sometimes haha

True but in Nov the BAP is going to Eat ECM at 360M.
