Wait, did you actually max armor on a Locust? Why? It's seldom enough to make much difference.

I actually have tried something similar to Ovion's 4HMG build, and it's pretty good. Decent low-heat dps. Lot of face time though. Engagement time too for that matter. Try to conserve your ammo to kill off weaklings in cqc. I'd kind of like to see a 12 man run nothing but a bunch of these things, though I'd like to see it with the SNPPC build more.

So, I was having some fun in this LCT-3S. I had been in the RVN-3L (I usually prefer the 4x, which most of the time is far superior imo) running it with 2MRM10s and 3MLs + ECM. Discovered I could regularly put up 600pt games in a mech I didn't really like, so though to transfer the build to the LCT. May end up swapping 1 MRM and some ammo in favor of a laser of some type.

If you have a 3S, give it a whirl!

Just did a few rounds in the 2LPPC-LCT-PB. Didn't gel for me like I want. The min range keeps killing shots. I think I am going to stick with the XL280, ECM, 3DHS, SPPC for zoom and boom. No min range, not being a long range weapon means less stopping to line up the shot, etc... just worked better for me.

If one of you LPPC advocates have vid I would love to see some solid action on that build though!

Ran an ERSL x 4 + MPL Locust 3M tonight. It was really pretty good because of the similar ranges and burn times; it almost felt like I had my AC20 (but not quite, it's only 19 damage and it takes an extra quarter-second to burn) Locust back.

Also, the SNPPC 1V is really funny in a brawl. It's like driving around with a low-range AC10 in your pocket.

Anyone else ever notice that the LCT-3S, when equipped with SRM4s has 6 tubes? Not a big deal but thought it interesting.

So I logged in for the first time in many many months ( wth is "incursion"?) skilled out my 1e (all agility and firepower armor is for n00bs) and then discovered NEW WEAPONS...I am convinced that the combination of ersl and mpl was invented just for the locust!

Now if I can just remember how to aim...
