I liked what I saw. The Mech store needs a bit of work. I can't see the mechs load outs and hard points. And the mech lab is a bit too complicated.

BUT overall I was very happy with it. The game it self seemed clearer and smother then before.

If you guys keep things moving in this direction the things will be just fine.

Thanks for the test time. it was fun.

It is not a matter of pride, it just shows that we funded the development of the game that so many get to play for free.

I would rather have the Locust :-)

So much pride for what you are doing for MWO/PGI. I feel both happy and sorry for you.

Can someone post some screenshots of the "cockpit glass"? I literally could not tell the difference between the public test and what we have on live when I played my Locust and Shadowhawks on Frozen City, Volcano, and River City Night.

The huge engine pictures are superfluous.

I want to say a few things about the test. first thanks for the chance to test it out.
1. The game as a whole seems crisper and cleaner
2. The "Glass" effect is OK I'm glad its not in the way at all.
3. The Mech Bay holds a lot of potential, however I would like a box that holds info like the mech has enough heat sinks to launch and i know that this really only effects the lights but it would be nice,
4. The Mech Bay needs a return to default button

-Griffon 3M has placement/saving issues with its missle hardpoints.
-The glass effect I can take or leave.
-I wish for a clean glass button or perhaps a windshield wiper I would pay a small amount of Cbills to keep it clean.
-The mech bay is annoying. Having a bunch of machines that I don't own showing up...even when the button is clicked for owned variants. Just because i piloted it at some point doesn't mean I want to see it.
-A readout with a comprehensive schematic of the machine I am modding LOOK AT SMURFY's,
-Keep It Simple
-Modding my machines was more complicated than the old system.
-I liked the torso twist and arm chart. It was incorrect on my Griffon and Awesome. It should auto correct based upon engine size.
-Would like a Cigar holder in my cockpit...an Adolf Galland style cockpit!
-Dirty glass is un-likely very tall machines. Windshield wipers a must.

I'll go even further than that.

He's a major part of shaping this community. Much MUCH more than I ever will be. But I'm not really sure if that's something to be proud of. I mean is being a lead whiner and complainer really an achievement?

/btw ..."he's posted more than you" is the worst retort ever.

Hey everyone... just a little on-topicness... there's a thread specifically for filling out a Feedback Questionnaire and the staff would like to you to provide feedback about the UI Preview there. This thread here is just a discussion thread, it doesn't serve to translate technical/opinion feedback about the UI test to the development staff.

Also, I think some corporate people might QQ over people talking about shooting each other and stuff on their company website that provides services to kids that download and play the game....

Give us UI 2.0 now. Fix the problems later as they arise. This whole beating around the bush thing is getting old.

I like it. Seriously. Not a single complaint, a few minor issues chalked mostly up to the acquaintance curve needed to go from the present UI to 2.0, maybe a few bugs, nothing worth whining like a saggy cow udder about (which I immediately noticed the crying and sniffling during my brief drop...please get a grip). A "strip mech" button would be nice for those who don't want to go through the double click removal of all stock components, but not a problem as is. The buttons that let you back out of a process need to be more evident at first glance (size and color changes maybe).

Dunno so much about the cockpit glass, I couldn't drop for more than a few minutes before a client walked in my studio, C-Bills don't spend in the real world fellas, had to log off. After seeing it on Youtube, if I recall correctly, "cockpit glass" is actually a sensor plate layout that interacts with the neuralhelmet in the BT lore, no mech pilot wants a pane of glass between them and ballistics/lasers(?), even in the present day, there are no tanks with windows. I guess this would be chalked up to the "fun factor" for those 3rd person X-box controller Mech Assault jockeys, looks nice, but I'll be cutting it off. Maybe a growing percentage of FOV pixelated distortion or cracked cellphone lcd screen lines when headshot damage takes it's toll into the orange, but no interior reflections that a neuralhelmet would have no perceptive data collection of. Still, it's inclusion is understandable, it interface is hardly talked about, I've even seen a few paintings where the artist didn't do the research and had a windowed cockpit where the pilot was visible from the outside or could see outside with no visible neuralhelmet optical component covering the eyes. Right off hand, this can be referenced in "Sword and Dagger" (a Victor pilot...I think) and I know for sure in a Gray Death Legion novel.

I did notice cleaner, smoother graphics. I have a workstation setup with the same dual 8800GTS SLI I got when I first built it nearly 5 years ago (stop laughin, coming from mid to late 90's NetmechDOS, I still feel like I'm in heaven now lol), so I think I'm toppin out at DX9 or 10, and I could still immediately tell the difference. Nice. Keep it up fellas, I can see the hard work and evolution here and what it could shape up to be, maybe that Clan Pack marketing team could learn a thing or two from you guys...

Excellent work.

I wish I had that kind of power, but then I'd be some sort of Community Manager looking for the crazy house.

The thing about complaining is not about complaining... it's really about looking objectively (as much as humanly possible) about stuff that doesn't help the game and/or its community. Now, of course you might be saying "just complaining about the game is not helpful at all", but see.. people who have been here long enough (even longer than I) and have seen what has been produced and said by PGI... well... it's not like it happened overnight where reasonable suggestion started to become a massive complaint. I'm sure we are the minority that complain here... because apparently satisfaction of the status quo is easier to deal with, instead of asking for better results or even tangible progress or even... accountability.

Sometimes, you don't know what MWO could be when you look elsewhere and see more produced from less employees. Sometimes it is better to plan smarter than code harder. Sometimes it is not unreasonable to demand better attention to detail, because then you can get a great deal more from something that was just a cool addition or change.

These things are not just for me (people are selfish by nature, and that's fine), but these things are more important for the long term health of the game and the community. It doesn't just start with lobbies, but it means better tools for teamwork, better means to communicate feedback, something can ALWAYS be better. It doesn't have to be done in any immediacy, but sometimes it is better for the long run.

big clouds condense around small particles. besides, I only said you contributed more and are more a part of the community than I am. just like his comment said(and that you "liked"). of course this community is toxic, but whatever.

yeah I don't care. just like i don't care when you played the last time, or how long it's been since you played.

like I said, it's just what you guys do.

Those F2players and those 5 whales will play the game, and converse on the boards without having to endure QQing and whining after every announcement from PGI.

LOL. Come back to reality. Nothing is free. Nobody can live from love and air.
Yes i willingly pay for things I like. Else..there would be no games like this.

But what I hate are bugs. If you Forget that this game is played worldwide....and the UI2.0 is just for americans..and all the rest can throw away their Keyboards....Im out of it. Check out the bugs b4 release pls.
