You did read the big arse post that said UI2.0 will be delivered with bugs intact? Didn't you? Should I link it?
I read it.
it said that there will be bugs on release. what it didn't say is "don't replicate and report bugs to us because we won't fix them. ever.".

You still won't like what will happen if they make CW any good.
They already know and somewhere you probably know too.
So we get the MVP treatment.

no founders packages, no phoenix packages, no gold mechs, no clan packages. I paid cash for my first mech and used in game money for the rest.
oh. I did buy some camo.
but "hundreds"? laughable assertion on your part.

just the brown sea as a whole
e: I will add that my friends list is always populated
Lots of people all the time, mainly for two reasons.
1) I have been playing for awhile and I do not delete anyone.
2) I am not part of an insular clan from other games that came over here then left after content was revealed to be non-existent.
EE: Back in the day your friends list was capped so you had to delete inactive friends, not the case anymore(clarification)

There is no special trolling, trolling is trolling. When you have a rep for being a ***** thats not really anything to be proud of or brag about.
I however will brag about having a life, got a kid on the way, have a great paying job with benefits not matched around most of the world, and I have all this before I am even 26 so....compare us roadbeer who really is winning in life? Heck I bet I have a better kdr than you do in the game.
So get back to your awesome life and quit posting on the forum for a game that you consider to be dead. LOL, your kid will be so proud of this, LoL. Ooh, you can earn a living, so do many of us.

In the mechlab:
- A filter that allow to choose only the equipment we have and not needing to scroll all the options (I think the option for that was in the top but not working).
- The info about heat and space available was not very well positioned.
These were the most faulty things for me.
Let's wait for Feb 4th...

The stability of UI 2.0 is relative good, in 4 hour of playing it crashed just one time (I think I removed a Zoom-Modul and take BACK>BACK>BA… ). I found just ONE BUG, so it’s PLAYABLE. Some things are hard to find in the Menu for the first time, but whit a little practise it is usable. At the end it works, somehow.
The Mech/Pilot-tree works good, but it is a bit slow. The new fonts are much better readable in the ”Ready-Launch”. The Cockpit-Glass is not so troublesome as much as expected.
PROBLEMS:
0. I know, I’m the first player who say it, but those many-many pictures in the UI 2.0 are really NEEDLESS. A simply box whit a good readable text is ENOUGH for the Main View. In the Tool-Tipps you could put in so many pictures as you wish, but please-please not in the Main View.
Examples:
- There is a whole ”Family Photo” from the AC/5 Ammo, instead of a simple box whit the title ”AC/5 Ammo (30/t)”?
- There are about 70 time the SAME picture from an Engine. I bet if you just take a small box and text like ”STD 260” or ”XL 280”, you could display ALL the Engines IN ONE PAGE, and the players would understand it fully. Instad we must roll-down a whole meter and lose 20 seconds of out life? (Why?)
...
1. There is a NEED for a ON/OFF SWITCH for the sound of UI, and you MUST SEPARATE IT from the In-Game sound too.
2. I couldn’t find a "Mech-Info" or "Mech-Spec" Tool in the Mechstore. You can’t belive that any player knows the Spec/Loadout from all the Mechs.
3. There are no ”Strip Weapon/Armor”, etc. Buttons in the Mech-Loadout Window. Whit the time you must creat some!
4. You NEED a frame or something like around the grey weapon/equipment/ammo items in the Loadout. A simply black line would be fine. Now it is bit hard to separate in mind, which slot is for which items.
5. There is a NEED for an EQUIP ARMOR WINDOW whit ALL the armor pieces IN ONE PAGE.
6. The word ”INVALID” is not so informative, like the old ”too heavy”, ”not enough slot” was. (And it’s a Mech not a wheelchair).
7. The ”Weapon Group” Window is just childish and whitout any real contrast of color. Almost UNUSABLE.
8. I don’t know, why you broke whit the usually/logical ”Right-Mechdata/Middle-Mech/Left-Equipment” System, but fine, we could learn it whit the time. But the old ”just-simply-black-and-yellow” color-contrast was much better as this.
9. The ”Settings” Button should be somewhere in the top, not half-hide-small in the bottom.
10. (I use the Testing Grounds very often for equipment check or experiments, so..) Why must I select a Mech again-and-again after EVERY Test-Map to change the Loadout? You could build somehow a direct line between the two.
BUG:
I couldn’t install/re-install a Modul, if I haven’t got their FULL PRICE IN C-BILL. EVEN if I had owned more of them already, and I had an empty Modul-slot for it too.
I tried out this whit different Moduls, it is a same. The counter display the number of Moduls correct, but whitout C-Bills the window was red, and the Moduls stayed uninstallable. If I had the price (I sold some Mechs), it worked normal again.
I think this is a BUG, witch MUST BE fixed, before launching the UI 2.0.

I'm sad.
So much time wasted on something that sounds at best to be mediocre.
Did they include all the social upgrades that were discussed in UI2.0 like chat rooms and such?

It's actually really nice. I finally got a chance to test it out, and while there are still a lot of improvements to make, at 1920x1200 it's very functional. It took a few minutes to learn the new interface, but that happens pretty much for anything (like upgrading to Office 2010 style bars...wtf? I still can't find half the functions 2 years later).
Social upgrades weren't in, and I think that might be a launch module feature (in April).

My thought, too: I'm one of those older guys that's both not funemployed or a student, and works early in the mornings during the work week. Just let the test run over the weekend, PGI, get out of town, take the weekend off, come back to a flood of test emails (and trolls, no doubt, but you know what I mean).
