I really dont want to hear about broken promises. We have had new maps, new mechs, soon to be a whole new interface. I wish this all could be done in minuetes guys but reality comes a knocking

I dunno. This guy seems to be trolling, based on the "I see no difference" type comments. If he really gave it a chance, he'd have seen the differences.
The biggest is that there is a lot more content. More mechs. More maps. New game modes. They've introduced HSR to help combat lagging, ECM has been added and toned down, and a lot of weapon balance has happened.
There are people in the community that haven't liked some of the changes. Ghost heat, third person view, consumables. But whether or not you like it, it's something that has changed.
And we're a lot closer to CW. I know that people get tired of hearing "soon", but the UI 2.0 changes are seriously almost here. Not as in "we have some ideas", but "we've actually been testing this stuff".
So maybe you'll come back and actually read this thread, maybe not. But to the OP, if you do, the game is still in beta. In some ways it's changed a lot, but it still needs improvement. So why do I keep playing? Because I can't get enough giant stompy robots.

How do you know we are any closer to CW? Seriously, PGI has been saying the same things about CW for months. The game is no longer in beta. It's just terribly managed and should still be in beta, but according to the bosses it is no longer beta. It's amazing what people will literally buy. I sure hope there's enough of you with money and gullibility to keep things going.
Seriously, third time's the charm. The first 2 times they claimed to be working on CW, while dangling it to sell packs it was lying but now they mean it. Why would anyone doubt the word of people who said that there would be no coolant, people wouldn't have to drop with 3PV players if they didn't want, CW 90 days after OB, CW 6 months after launch? I mean we are talking about people who's word can be taking to the bank. I mean it's not like they said these things before when selling stuff. Oh wait they did. But this time it will be different right?

Honestly, I don't know. And I totally understand the cynic's viewpoint here - I'm basing my info off of the word of the developers, which has certainly been wrong in the past.
Call it cautious optimism. I think a lot of their early promises were before they actually got in to the programming - a lot of good intentions and pipe dreams. And as they got deeper in, they realized that it was going to be more work than they anticipated - hence the delays.

Because there are elements of CW in the game files that weren't there 3 months ago. Significant ones too.

We all know those are put there by the aliens to entertain the fantasy of CW someday coming out. PGI doesn't even know they are there.
This game is one big experiment to see how humans socially interact in a violent non-realistic environment to better know our combat tactics and codewords.
Like "YOU C*NT MCDO*CHE-NOZZLE! DISH!", as a way of telling another human being to go to the dish on HPG.
Be wary, they are preparing to invade. And they will know our lingo.
