Hitbox fixes are balance changes. Might not be the ones you want, but they do effect balance.

Actually, no, Russ said that these were coming in the next patch on the NGNG podcast, and Paul posted about the incoming hitbox changes over on Reddit. What they weren't sure on were final numbers though, which is why we all wanted to see the patch notes.

I have a few comments to this. Good work PGI keep giving us more stuff.
Also PGI why did you steel my color pallet for the new paint. I obviously think it is a cool color choice but I liked it being mine.

I hope you all love the battle masters. I loved a few of mine but found leveling the LRM boat a bit of a chore. On a side note we need to be ready for the skies to burn with LRM shots. The meta may change overnight.

Hit locations change:
The issue is the core is easy to identify for humanoid mechs and the playerbase is very skilled for this game. Thus the game could randomly distribute a few shots to the sides but rather makes the hit locations change. This will be good for a little time but then we will get even more skilled and it will happen again. Complaints about the hit boxes on these forums does not account for the fact we are too good at this game. Why else is the current meta focused on LL ac20 Uac5 and mediums. All direct fire weapons. Missles are good but the complaint I see is they spread damage. Thus we creat the problem by making our skill the key power. If we alpha at the core with the favored items we can do over 40 damage in the CT. I think this can be cool but chain fire is an oddity in this game.
The real solution is less alpha and more chain fire, but that would not be popular.


My continued hope is to make clans fair. To this end if PGI makes it so all thier weapons chain fire or have set patterns and the missles arch down and then up after fireing .launch \_______/-------target. no sneaky IS tactics for the proud clan mech warriors. The option to play an alpha striking IS mech will be very apealing. Very apealing.

Also thankyou PGI for giving notes quickly and not getting bothered by people complaining when your patch started 15 minuets ago and they did not get notes till now.

Well, judging from what they did during the public test last week its just a reskin. But it is pretty nice looking.

No, eventually we'll have turrets. Doesn't mean the base will. Could be a module you can purchase. Don't think they've confirmed they'll come with the base.

I was referring to the note on assault mode being well hidden (last bullet before bug fixes). But if it's just a reskin, then that's higher billing than it deserves.

Hardly in my eyes. 30 - 40 pts to the chest is still in the chest.

It's the last note before misc bug fixes, that seems right for a reskin.
