Straight from Paul

"Catapult (Pelvis area split for leg/CT distribution, increased the size of leg penetrating the hip by 5%, head hitbox reduced by 20% (yes it was that oversized)"

Glad that art is not directed at me, but u have to ask yourself, how smart is it to put your cockpit on the nose of your Center Torso?

I never said it was awesome, just that with the owl like twist speed of most catapults you could make it work. This is a welcome change.

I put in a slip for that a while ago. Cause in 20 games, I Head shot 26 Phracts! And that was just to many... even for me.

Cockpit centered between the shoulders... yeah same problem, slightly different construction.

Interesting...very interesting. It will be time to see if the Catapult is a tiny bit less squishy in the CT.

As for the Cataphract, I wonder if the arms are going to easier to knock off with more of the shoulders being included in the arm hitbox. The livelyhood of the Phract is normally in the arms.

Same can be said for the Jager in some manner. I will have to notice if there is a change.

P.S. I didn't think the head hitbox HAD to be decreased, but I do welcome the change. I don't know if I needed to be flipped off for believing that, but hey, wouldn't be the first time.

The JagerMech's cockpit is where again? Oh yea, right in the center of the center torso.

Actually the official patch notes read differently for the Jager. I think for the Jager, less of the shoulder damage applies to the arms. That means the RH and LH torso's should be bigger and easier to hit. Still interesting...

http://mwomercs.com/game/patch-notes

I wonder which one is a typo HUH?

Previous Post (One linked by OP)...

...Jagermech (Pelvis area split for leg/CT distribution, more of the shoulder added to the arms)

The Patch notes (I linked)

Jagermech...Shoulders have been adjusted so that a much smaller section of it applies to the arms.

When was the last time you saw someone get a headshot off on a Jagermech?
Everyone aims for the squishy side torso on them mainly due to everyone and their sister running an XL in it.

If this game had actual roll warfare it would not have been such a big deal since the catapult is technically second line support mech anyways, but since everyone brawlsnipes, things like this need a little work. Oh, and as long as you weren't one of the people who vehemently defended the ezheadshot, then I wasn't flipping you off.

Me. I can headshot them if they are sitting there trying to shoot people because you know, they like to sit there and line up their ACs. So I line up mine on their center mass and shoot them. Got a Firebrand the other day on HPG.

My c1,c4 and a1 cats are loosing dust now and doing a happy dance waiting for a new shipment of lrms to come in. My k2 just laughed at becoming 20% more stronger. Leg armor is easy to add to on them, so 5% is meh.

While your obscene gesturing (I swear like a sailor but the filter catches it); I never felt the giant catapult headbox was okay, and warned new players in pults screaming hax of this issue when I elited my spiders by hunting them with the 5v and a loaded LPL

Let's see... a cockpit that is roughly 200% the size of the cockpit of any other mech is reduced by 20%.

Conclusion: Still superbly easy to hit.

I hate to say it (especially as a Catapult pilot), but that is true.

Just wait till the Bushwacker comes out, it will be head hitbox reduction outcry Round 2 (or Round 3 depending if the Madcat is out first).
