Seems like there is a bunch of people getting dizzy, including myself, and also some getting headaches from the new glass effect. The problem seem the be the "dust" bouncing out of sync with the terrain where the pilot is trying to focus and there has been drawn a reference to the jump jet sickness we had before. Zooming in had been said to increase the problem further.
We also have some people who like this effect and are looking forward to see cracks etc when head/cockpit component is damaged.

Suggestion is to keep the glass, but make the main visual area "clear" glass just like we had before. The "dust" effect can be stronger/visible towards the glass edges and the immersion effect will be kept.
When the center area is clear there will also be less problems when zooming/advanced zoom.
This suggestion will also remove the visibility problem we have in certain areas of the maps where we can almost see nothing due to "dust" effect becoming very strong.

When cracks are implemented I would like to see the appear starting from the edges to get the nice looking effect and at the same time make sure people can enjoy this game without chewing headache pills.

I love the new cockpit glass, but if people are being affected by it maybe an option would be to have multiple optional glass 'patterns', so if people are really bothered by it you can select one which tunes it down.

Hey, patterns could be cool, but this will make just another time consumer (other things are more important to get fixed) as each pattern has to be adjusted for all the mechs in the game. If they add a toggle it will be a competitive matter of course to just turn it off, and the work is wasted. Then you end up with some and new users having the glass enabled. I think now when the idea is good and the work is done, it should just be adjusted to the better for all of us.

Fair point, maybe just shift the dirty glass effects to the edges of the glass, so if you are focusing on a mech in front of you, you won't notice it but if you look around the glass you start to see the effects, simply to keep the immersion side of things.

I just want a button to turn the glass off.

We have buttons to turn motion blur and damage glow off, so why not this too?

one of the main problem with the glass it wont change in shadow but glowing the same bright under the sun and in the cave
or when the sun is covered by an object also the dust get iluminated when the sun shines behind u. not when front of u.
if this would be fixed a lot of the hedace complain would disapear. also attacking with the sunn behind a team could give a nice advantage against snipers and thats always welcome.

tuneing the edge would be nice so the glass is more visible where the frame and the glass connects its could be more defined wouldnt obscure anything but would feel more like a thick cannon prof glass.

if we able to switch it on. or of it would be nicer to have a slider so who want to see the glass more and make the game more difficult can do it. there are lots of roll players out there some even mimic recoil with mouse muvement XD.

I just tried AGAIN to play. Inside tunnel, blinded by the light coming through the rock and the back of my mech. No benefit in game... It's not realistic, if it were made perfectly realistic, I would STILL not want it. I seek good vision, spend lots of money on ggod moniters, video cards ect. I pay for high speed internet. All for a better frame rate and higher res images. WHY add a feature that reduces all that ? And also does so poorly and unrealistically. The problem is real for a few, and a real serious problem for some. Suggestions about how to make it suck less are lind of like suggesting someone shoot you with a smaller gun. How about DON'T SHOOT ME WITH A GUN, I PAID MONEY FOR THIS !

Glass effect like it is now is a lost cause! It only makes me pissed off on some maps where i have hard time seeing enemy's.
Sure it adds a bit to immersion but only slightly and nasty side effects make it way worse.
It would be cool if we could turn it off/on for some players who like it and majority of us who find it annoying.
