Seriously though, the features are fine, they just need some adjustment. Remove them? QQ

I can hit things at long range and still don't care about the glass effect.

Perfect example. He doesn't like it, so it shouldn't exist, because the devs should be working on things he thinks are important.
FTR, I fully support toggles for anything that doesn't give an unfair advantage.
I have no issue with it existing, if its able to be disabled or enabled due to preference. I have an issue with people who think it should be in the game regardless of those who do not like it which is rather amusing and blindly hypocritical , since your doing what you accuse me of, with different opinions on it being in the game. The reasons i do not like it i put in the other thread on feature suggestions. I see no real reason to regurgitate them here.
Whats sad, is this is another simple issue, that PGI fails to fix before it becomes one. PTR feedback had many players posted that they did not like it, and many who did. The rather obvious solution was to put in in game in a way that satisfied everyone, or hold off until it could be implemented. instead they just throw it in game regardless of the wishes of the player base who did not like it for a variety of reasons, with the standard PGI statement we will fix it later, at some point in time.

Meaning.
If you get hit in the head it leaves burn marks or cracks etc.
Or if you're peeking over the hill and someone hits the ground just in front of you dirt and dust should accumulate on you're window.
In real life combat you do get a lot of dust and grim that accumulates on your eye wear, windows and equipment. Especially if your taking close fire.

Also if mud is going to accumulate on the windows during battle there should be some sort of water cleaning jet.

Windows have glass effect, not scratches and dirt. I am playing MechWarrior not Road Warrior.

that because for me to even be allowed to play the game sometimes it has to put the worst players in the game on my team to balance it out. As a result you get other derps dragged into the game to balance out the total ELO

This post means nothing a friend of mine created an account and in his absolute first game he ran into you running in a highlander 733C. I have also seen you and Ryan steele on occasion always running in 733c and on occasion I see Mudhutwarrior as well so he couldn't possibly be that far off.

No one can be in this clowns (Villz) ELO, he is so delusional about his ELO about supposedly how great him a his squad of derps is you couldn't penetrate the many layers of his E-Ception.
Trying to explain anything to Villz is like trying to play chess with a pigeon; it knocks the pieces over, craps on the board, and flies back to its flock to claim victory.

Who's to say i didn't know what my ELO was. The whole concept of ELO in a team game with cross contamination from players appearing on multiple teams throught out a game session is a really feeble way of balancing the teams.
I think if it was to be fixed teams 12 v 12 always ELO would be a useful metric. However in case of mixed team pub play its quite common to lose 100% as a result of a completly non existant team / dc's.
As for my lack of social grace, Its more to the point I have a short fuse for stupidity.
TLDR: ELO is not a metric of skill however still doesn't change the fact it was impossible for me to drop solo for months without 2 - 5 failed to find matches usually in a row. So unless you have had period of play where the matchmaker couldn't find a game for you for over an hour its a safe bet your not even close

I consider myself a good player, a little above average but I have my off days, and my days I run stupid builds like 5 flamers on a Battlemaster. That said I'm not GOD. I only have around 1200 matches under my belt since back in closed beta. So, I'm not even playing that often
I have no idea what my ELO is I really don't care, but it annoys me to no end to read stupid e-peen stroking posts, and act like since they "think" they are better only thier opinion matters.

Examples please.
Tanks; you dont see much of a panorama window there, its more of a glass "brick" then anything else (if its even present and not replaced with cameras and such). I doubt you would be allowed or inclined to drive a vehicle through battle with all hatches open to get "better visibility" in any army since the start of the mechanized unit.
Aircrafts of diffrent kinds have great canopys or windows due to the fact that they are not expected to get a direct hit in the pilot compartment (except low level attack helicopters which btw have these kind of heavy glass green tint and scratches on any machine used past the first two weeks, at least in the unit I was with. And no, they dont replace those expensive glass panels just because there are a few scratches on them, they get replaced when cracked or destroyed).
That said, I fully support an on/off switch in settings so people can decide for themselves, options is always good to have.

I can understand how it would bother snipers a lot though. My only issue is like above it seems like a waste of time no one wanted to begin with.
I know I have my brightness and gamma tweaked pretty hard so I can get by and none of my friends can handle it so maybe if they gave us the option to turn it off or a sliding scale to diminish the effects it would be a happy medium.
In this fantasy future I can't imagine some deck ape would not be polishing it out every turnaround as anyone in aviation knows they would so the whole scratch thing seems out of place.
You know when we disagree we disagree. But when we agree Heaven's choir sings. This should not have been a feature that got anything more than spare time being available max. Our glass should start clean and decay as combat progresses.
So maybe the DEVs can eventually make a good glass feature. But first fix the important stuff an add things we need. Like more GAME content and less *COUGH* Window Dressing *COUGH*

Also it should be more blurred with mechs like the jenner where you sit closer to the window.
