Since UI 2.0 rolled out the wait times have gotten more random and longer.

I also find that wen the wait times are long - more then 30 seconds the teams appear to be more imbalanced by the fact that one team or the other gets completely rolled.

Hope this helps

As I have been verifying, since the elo reset/treshold changes, the time to find a match is very irregular (sometimes is very quick around 5-10 secods, other takes 40-60 seconds). The problem is that, as stated by the fellow mechwarrior above, steamrolls are very common nowadays. I never had such rate of 12-0, 12-1, 12-2 results. Either me being on one side or the other.

And what is wrong with the pings? Since UI 2.0 some matches I get 150 ms (standard in my case) but others goes up to 400 ms from the start to the end. Anyone else noticed this?

And no, I'm not downloading stuff while I'm playing MWO.

I do noticed this behaviour, also some of my lancemates suffer the very same issues, but since we all use the Same ISP provider i didn't bothered too much with it.

To put all of this in perspective, as to why wait times may be longer for some, and why those who suffer long wait times, sometimes up to three full minutes before the MM fails, and then when it doesn't fail after a long time, people get rolled, is that for this game the population threshold requirement has dropped so far below minimum, that you have new players coming in to try the game out, and you have the die-hards, who've become so good at the game that a roll over is inevitable.

There are two possible answers to this:
1. PGI and IGP have to get up a marketing campaign, whether across the internet, or standard media types, OR

2. They need to change over from Elo to BattleMech Battle Values with adjustments for game-determined MechWarrior Quality

Oh, yeah, and what's the deal with the switching letters above targets? If I call out Hotel as the target of choice, and it goes out of my LOS and, when it comes back, it's labeled as Quebec, there's something way wrong with that. What's going on, here?

PGI... this is silly, and I've been reading things like this all over the place. Re-tooling for weight classes, 3/3/3/3, weight-for-weight, etc., is going to do you absolutely no good; Elo is a train wreck. You NEED to rebuild for Battle Value, and all of these cases of missed games are based on two things... bad Elo, and low population. Last night, there were several times when my friends and I waited for several minutes -I think the time-limit is 3 minutes- before being connected, meaning we were facing opponents from all over the Elo spectrum; not cool. Elo is broken beyond measure, and it's the stumbling block to taking this game from pretty damn good to magnificent.

Remove the 2800 point range boundary, program Battle Value and have open sizes without the 3/3/3/3 nonsense, or failing to put in 2-12 as you expressed you would. I'm sure there are many of us here who would be happy to help you square this away, but you should look at BV 2; ask Randall, I'm sure he would be ecstatic to help.
