I think you are selectively reading. Road blasts people that are rude, stupid or obnoxious. When someone posts without whining, or creating the 3rd such thread on the front page etc, he responds appropriately.

As a fellow Evil, Tryhard Pre-Made, I feel obligated to point out that is what other people started calling us (minus the Evil, I threw that in to mock them) so we adopted it as a badge of honor. You see there is a significant portion of the trolls here that think we should back off once we get the lead, let the enemy team catch up so to speak. Sorry, but I vote Libertarian and love Ayn Rand so I don't buy into that altruistic BS.

I offer advice here and in-game in an effort to build the community. Go check out the New Player section and you will see, despite the fact that I am no Redshift2k or Koniving, I post there as much or more than here.

Lastly, why should Road (or Sand or myself) not mock and belittle people who respond to our factual statements and arguments with nonsense, or insults? If someone like Mycrus was liking my posts, i would feel ashamed. He's pretty much a troll here, and rarely makes any serious posts, just wants to encourage people that take on those that have trashed him the past to the point where he is afraid to debate anyone anymore.

Have you started threads about setting up IRC channels to help new players? No?
Ideas other than a queue split such as a training academy? No?
Help explain how to collect data if you want accurate results? No?
Written guides to help new players? No?
How about threads regarding a U.N. type association for all players to work cross-faction for CW? No?
How many posts in this 25 page thread have you made that have anything to do with the topic?
Done anything besides try to blast the people you don't like? No?

After 3600 drops, I still believe every time I hit launch, I will drop into a winnable game. Most games I drop solo and could care less if the enemy has a premade. I know that when the game starts, I am going to my best. Don't run off by myself, try to help teammates in trouble. Occasionally I will see a new player that still hasn't figured out how to pilot. But what ****** me off is the teammates that are already convinced they are going to lose. As soon as the game is over, the excuses start. "Premades stomped us", Matchmaker *****.

Let's have the separate queues, wait 3 months and see if new player retention improves. We have nothing to lose (except the premades that can only win against disorganized PUGs) and everything to gain. Everyone I introduced to this game quit because of the perception that certain premade groups were trolling PUGs. Whether the perception ends up being true or not, is beside the point -we've lost so many new players to it already. This perception is so widespread that most newbies will probably figure out there must be some truth to it (and again, how much truth there actually is is beside the point).

If there are separate queues, the perception will die a natural death because premades can't drop into PUG queues (they can try sync-dropping solo, but the chances of being on the same side or even the same match are not significant enough).

I am not against having separate queues, IF we have a large enough player base. I believe (as sandpit has suggested) and cadet only queue would be better start for retaining new players.

I have to ask. Did everyone you introduced to the game quit because you told them that certain premade groups were trolling PUGS? Did they believed every loss was do to a premade group, because that is what you wanted them to believe. Before you start calling me names, I just want to make it clear. I drop most matches solo, I do not care if the other team is premade. I never go into a game thinking it will be a loss.

You say you have introduced people to this game. Did you not drop as a group (premade)? I would never bring a new player into this game without dropping with them.

Here's a thought. Perhaps they only intervene when people complain, and then only punish when the person was out of line? So if Roadbeer called me a douchebag for simply asking a question, and i reported him, I'm sure he would get in trouble. However if I called him a Richard Cameron for simply posting his opinion, and he proceeded to tear me a new one, then I reported him, I suspect they would call it even or fuss at me.

FTR, I reported a few people here and there for flat out admitting they were trolling. Other than than that it was names that were inappropriate or some such.

Or in other words, stop being a douchebag and accusing us of things we didn't do or say..

I'll just say one more thing on this. I find it hilarious that people seem to think road and I (can't speak for nick on this one because I don't know when it comes to him) are somehow immune to being modded.
We just don't throw a fit and talk about communism and censorship and make ourselves out to be victims when we get corrected by staff. Just like we don't wail and flail every time pgi changes something in the game.

And this trolling started after I gave Roadbeer my answer to a question he asked about and as usual he and others started the verbal attacks, name calling etc.

My comments are on topic and truthful about the anti new, solo, casual, PUG etc. player game features and community treatment as proven yet again.

This thread has many examples of it prior to my post so in no way have I derailed anything. I just have been pointing out the obvious reason many people may not want to play with people like you and the reputation you give to "Evil Pre mades" as you call them, let alone use the same forums.

We get it you don't like our customer base and you can continue to call us names and mock us on your voice chat server, but please be respectful and obey the forum rules here, since PGI may want our business some day.

Again to the OP I think the game may get and keep some more new players as well as many others that don't want to play as or with Pre Mades. I would think pre mades would want this as well since they obviously don't like or want us in their game.

So to me separate queues is a win win.

I believe calling people names is covered under the "Referring insultingly to other individuals or groups" part of the forum rules.

The "Posting non-content, e.g. ‘First’, ‘ibtl’, ‘tl;dr’, ‘yawn’, ‘l2p’, ‘bump’, ‘placeholder’ etc." and "Posting Off-Topic replies" pretty much sum up what is commonly called trolling.

So Sandpit I would base my reports on the rules not because I don't like someone, so your recommendation to report them with a threat of it backfiring just gives more credit to why people have the idea that some players are above the rules.

Now back on topic since I know this is all part of trying to derail and thus send this thread to K-Town. I think this topic is important and therefore out of respect for the OP I will no longer reply to the agitators here.

Its clearly obvious these guys work in concert with the mods. Go to k-town and see how the mods interact with them. Corporate control of forums to shape opinions by assigned posters is commonplace especially in political forums. Again in those circumstances this could not occur with out moderation being complicit. I don't blame the useful idjiots for this but PGI and their assigned mods directly. Over the months there have been many complaints about this behavior by a small faction to control the forum as they see fit. Nothing has been done to date and in fact recently they have been emboldened.

Their prize is heading their way. Count on it. Karma does work in the end.
