So we need back the **Spanish Inquisition** to chastise and punish like in the good old days.

Ok, scratch that...if you look closely at the ST you can see two MG sticking out. Russ has said its 4E/4B with JJ...so no its really awesome. Change out the flamers for med lasers and it will give the jenner a run for its money.

4 ballistics + 4 energy? A light with 4 SPL and 4 MGs would be able to troll people on an epic scale the likes of which this game has never seen before. I want it.

Heck, I can remember the punishment the 4 MG spider could deal out when abused properly. Now throw in 4 SLs or MLs, yeah.

If the C-Bill variants are as good then it could match (or maybe dethrone) the Jenner as the Light Mech Gold Standard.

Looks like maybe a AC 5 and ac 2Posted Image But I think my first custom build would be 4 mgs, 4 flamers.... then shove a AC 20

Where is that screeny from?

EDIT: Also, someone needs to park existing lights in the same spot the Firestarter is for a scale comparison.

Here is a comparison with a Raven 3L:

Back to the Firestarter:

It basically has similar height to a Raven. Proper scaling confirmed. Now just for hitboxes.

Well then, that makes those legs tiny. And it looks like it will be able to tank damage to it's sides much more effectively than the giant CT with legs that is the Jenner.

I was never a Firestarter player, but this is a classic canon design and should be fun for a lot of people. I wish players would stop breaking every 'Mech down into hardpoints and meta.

PS I'm wondering combustible terrain??

When I ride it you can count on me, it will be a flamer mech.

I hope one of the next varients has a hardpoint layout that copies a atlas. I'd want one with 4 small lasers, lrm-5, srm-2, ac/2. Like a super mini version of an atlas.

Edit: ninja'd ^wow great minds think alike ;)

It's father was an Atlas and the mother was a Victor? I am sure one of you create people can put together of an Atlas with a cigar standing next to a Victor in a bed with a Firestarter in a crib with diapers on. Interesting and disturbing at the same time. O.o

Is it me or does it look like the huge shoulder tanks on the arms means that the arms will be easy targets?

In todays world the Father would be the Victor and the Mother the Atlas.

Is it me or are huge arm targets really, really good in this game?

Edit:
That leaves the Hollander as the only MechCommander IS 'mech not yet in game, allowing for the fact that several MC 'mechs were odd variants with tonnages either higher (Jagermech, Centurion, Hollander) or lower (Firestarter) than the standards.
