The profound mental defects of my ex-co-workers has led to admin access being severely curtailed here. Otherwise, I'd have Firefoxed and forgotten about the whole IE, IE, Billthulu phtaghan bit.

It is kinda embarassing how fugly the site is on IE, though. On the other hand, it's IE.

Chrome accessable?

It's not much better - but it is better (IMO at least)

Or a mandatory questionnaire asking if you own a console, answering yes prevents you from downloading the client.

I know we've moved on but I just had to say...

I own two consoles and kick ass in this game. B|

Ya know...I wasn't pissed off at the delays, or the changes in direction this game has taken, annoyed as some developments, sure...but this article is offensive in the current context. So i'll make a deal...don't treat me like an idiot, and I won't ask you to treat me like a number. PGI released a series of mechs for sale...while already having difficulty releasing promised content, all by itself, no big deal. Those mechs had no specs...no big deal, because we already know what's on them, right? Then a post is released saying that they are working on changing the mechs they are selling...for better or worse....so...why release something when we don't even know what it is? Is that respectful to ones customers? You DO know you are ASKING FOR MONEY for this product right? Take your time...get your products released with the best level of quality you can manage on them...I'll still be here, but NEVER try to play a victim card in this manner again....I don't know that other game designers situation...but i'm pretty sure it's not the same as this one. (and i'll buy a $(%* package when you get around to telling me what is IN the package..Star Citizen didn't manage to sell me pixelated garage space either...oddly enough:))

This game is the worst mechwarrior product that has been produced.

And we are being told to complain properly.

One: WHAT THE **** ARE YOU DOING RESURRECTING A THREAD THAT IS AS DEAD AS MOSES!?

NWKA. AKA WoL rebranded after the miserable failure that #savemwo was. Their poster child for how they were going to be the influential driving force behind player dictated changes, and ... yeah. They probably should have started a #savewol campaign instead. ;)

I might be the unfunny german again but can someone explain to me what exactly these people are doing?

Word of Lowtax was a group that did nothing but Shitposting, right?
How is that linked to #savemwo?
And where did NKVA come from? These people have been cluttering the forums with their childish nonsense for a while now..

PGI should archive anything that hasn't been posted in, in the last 1.5 years.

Though I'm not saying I wouldn't be opposed to archiving some threads (such as this one maybe), but some of my LRM guides would actually be archived, and every now and again someone revives them... (Their information is surprisingly still relatively accurate! Somehow...)

Not sure on this one. Then again, some threads I feel could use to be revitalized and resurrected.

Word of Lowtax was a group from the Something Awful forums. SA is pretty big in EVE and the WoL (the SA members who like giant stompy robots) figured that their influence would translate over nicely to MWO. They are generally good natured trolls with a decent sense of humor, although some find them a bit caustic. A few of them didn't like the direction MWO was going and attempted to start the #savemwo movement. That failed spectacularly for obvious reasons (mostly being wrong about MWO and the level of their influence, as indicated by the rather comical suggestions early on that they commanded an army of 1500 people). Stung by such a public relations fiasco, they've rebranded to NVKA and are back to basically being who they are.

I'm not sure about the quality of their trolling though. They've resorted to actually complaining about PGI taking action against them for the "****" incident ("Waah waah, we're being repressed, this isn't against the TOS!") which really takes away from the DGAF nature that made them more entertaining in the past. They went from irreverent to whiny, and it wasn't a good transition.

The main issue with most who complain about this game is their entire perspective is defined by oversimplifications, laziness and kneejerk emotional responses. If they have trouble with poptarts, LRM's, arctic cheetahs, meta builds or light mechs in game they automatically assume those things are overpowered and need fixing. And that PGI is evil or lacks competence for not subscribing to their misinformed and superficial observations. They spam their perspective ad infinitum and pretend they speak for everyone like hobos trying to tell Bill Gates or Warren Buffett how they should do business.

I feel like slapping them and I only know them from this game. I can't imagine how people who have to deal with them on a daily basis must feel.

Because many of them probably don't act that way in real life, on a daily basis?

Unless they literally got banned over night, I saw some of their posts yesterday. (It also would be a poor show to ban anyone from that unit, as that is discriminatory by association.) Maybe some of their more insulting members might have been banned from the forums, but I doubt all of them.

As someone else said, Source please.
