"I'M OUT OF AMMO!" -Ejects his ammo clip, grabs a new rifle with no mag in it, and inserts the rifle on top of the clip. Magically, it somehow shoots.-

I just love that one 40K background story where scientist from the Imperium present an Ork with a loaded Slugga, which they've tested completely, it simply is not possible to fire it. Not mechanically possible at all. And the Ork picks it up and shoots the scientist.

Belief is a powerful thing. (doesn't seem to help when my Jager is out of ammo though)

Oh God... Then what do the insides of their mechs, spacecraft, tanks, and airplanes look like?!

Also, don't Orks have some sort of psychic power? So is it possible they're just slapping gun-shaped pieces of metal together and trying to shoot it, thinking they're shooting a gun, but they're shooting BRAIN WAVES instead?

The entire Warhammer universe runs on raw Chaos.

They travel from planet to planet by stepping into a dimension of pure Chaos.

Chaos (the faction) spawns it's ammo and the like by drawing it out of that realm.

Ork tech works on similar principles - but is powered partially by the number of Orks around.
(One Ork boy is not gonna do much fancy tech on his own)

Their mechs are ramshackle up-side down trashcans, and their guns mostly don't work. However, they have a gestalt psychic power. The more of them believe something works, the more it will work. For example:

They believe that if a vehicle is painted red it will move faster. This rule is actually made canon on the table top. If an ork vehicle is painted red it moves an extra inch further on the table.

Also, they believe that if something is painted purple, it's stealthy and sneaky. Now you've got Ork commandos (8 feet tall, 5 feet wide) painted bright purple sneak across no man's land, through open terrain, and pretty much no one sees them.

Oh, their "drop ships" are actually asteroids that they hollow out, put doors on them in a few spots, and drop them from orbit.

That's Orks for ya.

Frighteningly enough, it's apparently effective camo in MWO PUG games as well. Ask Vassago Rain sometime.

There is not a group out there with ORK for it's tag is there?

1005. Painting your DireWolf, Banshee, King Crab, or Atlas bright purple will not make it any sneakier
You are not an Ork (I hope) so stop trying.

You guys are missing out. I love TT 40K.

1006. All pilots must have miniature models of their mechs, and they need to be painted, with proper camo, and colors.
1007. Failure to fulfill rule 1006 has resulted in many officers tripping on their shadow, and falling out of the air locks.

1008: DO NOT touch the big red buttons on jumpships folks. Sometimes they may jettison important things . . . Like our KF drive . . .

On a totally unrelated note: Due to recent events, our monthly Missjump will be canceled for the foreseeable future.

I've got an Ork army and I love it. What I really like about them is how you can basically kitbash all of their vehicles and they'll still look great!

I've got a Battlewagon made from a Land Raider. My Ork trucks are made from old Ork truck models mashed with Hummers. My Grot Kannons are PAK40's, I use converted Nebelwerfers, Zapp guns are the modified Lascannons that came from the Landraider. I've got Ork airplanes made from parts of a Stuka, P-38 Lightning and GI-Joe.

Due to moving I haven't been able to play it in years, but I'm never getting rid of it. My children just need to get a bit older...............soon.

(have a WHFB army for my serious tactical side to compensate btw)

Oh yeah. combat tips......

1009: Screaming "Waaaaaaaaaagh!!!" over open comms and your external speakers while charging the enemy with your Hatchetman/Axeman/Berserker actually will cause you to do extra damage with your Choppa Hatchet.

1010. Please stop referring to a Lance of insect named BattleMechs as a swarm.
The recruits I was training would have stood a real chance of stopping the Lance of Locusts yesterday if I had realised it was 4 Battlemechs rather than the thousands of insects I inferred from the message "please stop the swarm of Locusts from reacing the base", choosing stock SDR-5Ds for the recruits and myself, was a good Mech choice for eliminating a swarm of insects but not even remotely effective against a lance of custom built Locust Battlemechs.

1011. When an officer uses the term "remotely effective" he does not necessarily mean he was using a remote control at the time. But, it doesn't mean he wasn't necessarily NOT using one, either.

1013. When an injured operative returns to duty you are required by law to upvote his first post on this thread! ^^^

All who fail to comply will have to camp in Hell for a week straight. (Hell, MI.)

1005a. Unless you're Vassago Rain, but then again he calls his Atlas-DDC a "Warboss" and may just be really a sneaky git ork in disguise.
