Australian Players and the Founders Pack

Do we in the land of Oz sign up for the NA servers as we end up doing with all the other MMOs?
Is there a business plan including Asian servers NOT based in China?(I ask this because China requires a 'co-development deal' in which a Chinese company 'owns' MWO in China and the servers are locked to Chinese IP addresses only)
Should we buy a Foundation Pack or not?
If we do set up an account would we be able to switch it to an Asia/Australia server if one is ever established?

This.
Also If they base the server in Singapore or Honkers Bonkers, would we even get a significantly better ping than West Coast US? So what benefit will we get for dropping our friends on the NA server and going local?
Unless the game is totally unplayable, I personally can't see myself leaving the NA server. A little bit of lag simply means no fast scout for me

"For our European players, here is the answer you have been looking for: Yes, you can buy the Founder’s Package and you will never be blocked from continuing to play on the North American servers. Also, when servers are setup in your region, you will be given a onetime opportunity to transfer to those region’s servers taking everything you own with you."

As to whether or not you are going to get servers, who knows, I would assume it would depend on whether there is enough demand.

I would love to see a server give the same ping lag to all players no matter where they play from..... But NA players would hate us for that!
But some players can overcome it.
I had a friend who played Tribes and was in the top 100 in the world, he was very skilled.

It's drastically different elsewhere though, connecting to servers in VIC from Singapore for example can shoot up to 300 ping.
It wouldn't serve Aussies well to locate servers outside of Australia too because of super crappy ISPs in Australia. Connecting to SEA servers from Melbourne on my old TPG plan was about as bad as connecting to North America (150-300 ping).

Are there any Australian based clans or intrest sites around?

So I'd base my decisions around timezones (NA is better the EU) and language compatability for team play. My plan is to purchase the pack; if they make an Australian based server -- great!! But most unlikely...

Sorry man, but even if they did they'd have accepted an NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement) so they couldn't post. Considering NA servers, 250-350 is what I'm expecting. Thats based off using NA servers for other games though... Also not to mention the delay from July to August in latest DEV notes is due to the primary "production" server being delayed... I wouldn't go off Aus ping times in UAT (Beta) anyway

It depends on your ISP's routing strategy. If they do it right and use the right link Singapore is much faster than the US.

The Top 2 Australian ISP's use Reach to the US which usually gives a good 180 - 250MS~ depending upon geographical location.
