I don't know whats going on. at first the mechlab looked blurry and horrible looking and all distorted I just thought, hey its just the mech lab.

Then i loaded a game, and the lobby looked horrible, then the match starts, and the graphics looked disgusting!!! and ran with a garbage frame rate.

I don't even know what to say I'm in a state of total shock. I think i should of never spend any money on this game. And to think here I was defending the game against all the cheaters and praising PGI.
I checked my settings, the only thing that helped was putting it to 1920x 1080, but I used to play on 1600x900 low-medium with no issues. avg 30 fps. now its running at like 20 fps and looking totally terrible.

What happened, am I in the twilight zone now? I have to quit the game now PGI because my pc can no longer run it. And to add insult to injury it looks even worse lol. What did you do???

Did you try software updates, etc.? Is your display locked at that res, or is your machine a little older?

I can't even load the mechlab now, it just locks up and crashes on connecting haha. Oh well so much for this game....

I feel like a real fool for defending PGI against all the cheaters.....Add this game to the pc game boneyard.

I have finally been hacked out of the game.

restarting my pc fixed the issue of mechlab freezing up on me. But the resolution looks really horrible, not just in the mechlab but in the game too..... not a good change imo.

I'm playing the same settings 1600x900 medium settings. Game looks like total garbage. pixalated fonts, terrbile blurry textures....wtf is going on PGI?

I've never seen anything like this in 20 years of gaming. A patch or update, that makes the graphics look too disgusting to play......on the same settings I've been using since September?

I'm not exaggerating at all man, the fonts on a res below 1080 looks totally messed up. the textures look all pixelated, the fonts have lines in them looking all glitchy.

I'm hoping there was an oversight of some kind that is easily fixable.

Thats not even mentioning how the mechlab in general looks low resolution no matter what. How is this an improvement? i don't get it, Its more cumbersome and confusing and the mechs look totally terrible compared to the old UI.

I noticed something similar here. Unfortunately I have a low-spec system and was generally playing at a resolution lower than native to improve framerate. My native res is 1600x900 but I had been playing at 1280x720 on low settings to improve things. Generally it all looked just fine prior to the patch. Now it's very pixellated and not looking so hot at 1280x720

Is your native resolution 1920x1080? I think there may be something funky with scaling to lower resolutions going on here. I tried enabling postAA but to no avail. Looks fine at 1600x900 but my card just cant keep up with things at that resolution and the framerate is crummy.

Had the same problem, but resolved after going back into the video settings and reapplying the resolution and graphics settings. Initially in the video settings it read as it should (in my case 1600x900, very high settings) but when I went into advanced options everything said Low. Fixed after reselecting everything

I am finding the text in the menus little distorted on 1680x1050. Does not look good. HUD text is much nice now though.

Ya its not scaling right is my guess too. I'm in the same boat.

Thats and understatement, they look corrupted. 1680-1050 is a little better then 1600x900, but its still noticeable. something is not right.

I also had the weird problem of it being on custom settings and being set to medium instead of low. I play on low, the issue is not that I don't realize its on low and not high.

I set the presets to low, turned off aa, which is how i had it before. And I've been changing around resolutions, which i think helped with my fps issue, but it still looks glitched out and pixelated if I'm not using the native resolution.

The responses in the feedback thread are very suspicious.... I understand that native resolutions are always less blurry, but that is not the issue here. Something else is going on...because I have been using the same resolution for months and had no issue prior to the patch.

The fonts at a lower res for me look glitched out and corrupted. I don't know how to explain it, but it looks loike sometimes when an image gets corrupted...like lines on certain letters. Like something is not sycning or scaling.

The textures are also so grainy in game, I mean in game it looks even worse. This is not normal. something is very wrong and I don't want to be forced to play the game at a higher res which negatively affects my gameplay.

1080 res looks normal and runs ok, but just as it did before the patch, which is still laggier then when i ran it at 1600x900 which is what I preferred and what I have been use to playing.

Actually it looks bad on any resolution other then 1920x1080 which is my native.

Look at the word SKILLS at the top of the mechlab, its most noticeable on that. Or highlight the word mechlab. Something is wrong. At 1920x1080 it looks perfect for me any other res it looks horrible.

between 1024x768 or 1600x900 I can't tell a difference besides size. But compared to 1920x1080 they look glitched.

My native is 1920x1080 so when I run 1600x900 full screen yeah everything is blurred because of the scaling but it's not abnormal per se like how you're describing what you're seeing. Are you playing full screen, windowed or full windowed? can you put up some screenshots of the different resolutions?

ya its not your typical blurriness. It just looks bad. I've seen guys in game also asking people if their text is blurry. It seems the automatic response now is change your resolution to 1080p which I guess it what 90% of the players use.

I'm not a programmer or developer, but I just don't understand, how this change would change the lower then native resolutions compared to prior to the patch?

Its like night and day compared to before the patch. I really don't now what screenshots would do since I have no screenshots prior to the patch, but just to humor you.

http://postimg.org/image/em0ar80vt/ http://postimg.org/image/vlt5m69zx/ 1080p

http://postimg.org/image/61xfxnvqn/ 1600x900

http://postimg.org/image/anrl7btdp/ 1024x768

As you can see the difference between 1080 and 1600x900 is striking. but there is not much change going from 1600x900 to 1024x768, except size. the fonts compared to 1080p are quite noticeable.

Rich, if you have not done so try changing from Full Window to Fullscreen in the Video options.

I would also recommend resetting your graphics options to Medium from the System Specifications dropdown menu as well.

Yes I've tried it all. I will try changing settings in the nvidia control panel. Others users have commented they have the same problem though, I doubt thats the issue, but will see what happens.

Here are some ingame screenshots, again nothing pre patch to compare to, but it looks pretty bad imo.

at 900p:

at 1080p:

Its hard to see the difference in textures with these pics, but the difference just with the mechs is striking. Or maybe its because the UI looks so bad, especially the radar, that its a mind trick making my brain only think the textures were worse then before the patch? I should screenshot the lasers, the lasters now look real pixelated and grainy.......All i know is 1600x900 looks much much worse then before the patch.

Have you performed the changes in the front end as opposed to in the game and then launched? It is possible that they are not updating properly if being changed while in-game and it would be worth setting everything to one default and working from there; ie Fullscreen mode, Medium System Specifications, no motion blur, etc.

OH ya check out the diff in lasers. I know for a fact the laser did NOT look like utter crap on 1600x900 before the patch...thats a definite. And you can clearly see this even in the screenshots. The lasers were just as solid at 1600x900 as they were on 1080p. Something is wrong. maybe its the horrible looking target reticle playing a mind trick I don't know anymore.
