UI2.0 looks good. Will it be possible to have 2 resolution settings for mech lab and the actual battle?

The old UI is better at handling that ironically.

In other words, we can have a higher quality setting in mech lab when we are looking at our mechs and setting them up while lower quality for smoother gameplay.

Or, alternatively, they could properly address the absolute crap framerates they have been increasingly deploying with each new patch so you dont need to have triple SLI/CF in order to run the game...

No wait, sorry just a fantasy I was dreaming of, sorry. Carry on.

Also for me but in a opposite way: the MechLab windowed and the game at full screen. When I'm not on battle I can chat on Skype or read my emails or...etcc without ALT-TAB

This absolutly!

PGI Puleeses WINDOW option for UI full screen to fight. Also can we have a frame rate cap for the UI, somewhere between 25 -40fps?
That ought to provide smooth animation of the Mech models but won't race the graphics too badly on a decent specced machine. Why on earth do you need 60+ Fps in a static setting. Though I salute the fact UI has MUCH higher fps than 1.6 you must have made something more efficient for me to see this fps spike post release.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that thinks that multiple resolution settings is good.

Like what I've mentioned, the previous UI did this correctly but UI2.0 seemed to have gone backwards for this.

With the old way, everybody screamed for full-screen front end.

Now we have full-screen front end, and everybody is screaming to have the old way back.

Y'all need to make up your minds...

Full screen for both is ok but it's the ability to set different resolutions for both. You don't need 60fps on a static mech lab screen but rather high res sharp setting for that. While in gameplay, people may not play at such a high res because of FPS. This is where the old UI shines.

However, the old IU is windowed so it's not really comparing apples to apples. Full screen for UI2.0 looks good but a different resolution setting will be good.

Yeah, well, don't count on getting one.

I've never seen a game that had that capability (unless it was forced, like UI1.5 was). In the other games I've played, if the whole thing is full-screen, any and all graphics settings apply equally to the menus as they do to the in-game environment.

Granted, I'm not a game junkie or anything -- I'm currently playing only this and EVE. Titanfall will occupy some of my time when it comes out.

SLI is not supportet yet^^
Even the Tripplescreen-User must count on only one Graphicscard.

Well, I guess the previous UI did a good job in that aspect :)

Think there was a guy that asked for different resolution settings as well because he is using 3 monitors and MWO is causing his neck to break :)
