I also found the 1C to be the best performing dragon for me, way better even than the flame. Never could figure out the reason. However the road ahead is long and hard, young padawan. Good luck, and bring extra midichlorins to sense the disturbance of a Jenner in your back.

I actually did well in the trial Dragon when it was a trial mech despite all the "boo dragons suck!" nonsense.
Actually tempted to buy the trial if it ever goes on sale.

Those torso energy hardpoints make all the difference.
I run mine with 350 XL,2 LPLs and 2 MLs,being non ammo dependent is nice in drawn out battles.

Have five, but the 5N is my current favorite. The main problem people seem to have is that it is a support Mech. You pair it with a D-DC and try to keep that Atlas alive, pop bugs, and add to his firepower. Meanwhile he keeps the rain down and attracts most of the incoming fire.
Not much armor, not much Alpha, but the sustained fire is brutal. :-)
