Take trading for example. Seriously? Great way to bring farmers to the game. I mean I'm sure they would be happy to pay the $50 box fee to farm before getting banned...oh wait...it's free to play.....

Casual players being stomped? Screenshots of your W/L or STFU with your crybaby whining. If you are losing half your games, that's normal.

Losing by a large margin in normal in a game like this, especially when people split up and get slaughtered piecemeal.

All this and more is known to anyone with a brain and who has bothered to read and learn about about the state of the game before they cry like little *******.

It was a sarcastic joke actually. Feel free to look through my posts and find the few recently where I explain why all of the "OMG I took these 2 screenshots so this must be SO TRUE AND 100% ACCURATE" are embarrassing and laughable.

However, new player retention is still horrendous for a F2P game. And unless you are blind as hell, it should be quite obvious why that is. If PGI wants to keep their game afloat, this is one thing they really must address more thoroughly and quickly.

oh I know you were hehe I laughed out loud at your picture there I was replying to the second quoted guy with that. My post was supposed to compliment your picture there but i see it didn't work. I am not really an expert on using forums so sometimes I have a bit of trouble

And yes, like we talked about a bit ago, sometimes I just get so frustrated (well, almost all the time the past few months) that I just make angry posts and don't bother really contributing. I know i shouldn't. But cant help it

I've actually been meaning to make a post addressing all of these "OMG broken matchmaker look at my game STOMPZSSSS" threads for a few weeks. But just have not had the heart.

find it odd..... I pug 90% of the time, and only probably 1/3 of my matches are a stomp in either direction. And that despite knowing that Elo and MM hate my guts.

Yea, the whole situation is really just rather tiresome and a bit sad too. (and by a bit, I mean drunken whiskey tears of rage whyyyy pgi do you not make me a better mech gameeee)

The forums are obviously a cesspool too. But for me, the drive to try to post constructive and well supported feedback for pgi, not players, finally gave out when I stopped playing 6 months ago because it just really felt/feels like they do not listen at all That and some of their frustrating comments/stances were really quite insulting. Basic PR 101, section: how to not have an epic public relations fail lol.

Eh, anyway. I think there is a patch tomorrow right?? (Tries not to get hopes up for the 100th time....fails)

I only have one complaint with PGi/IGP, too much incompetence.

If it isnt incompetence then it must be corruption. CW wasnt even being worked on even after telling paying customers who helped found your game, just 30 more days over and over. PGI is a corporation who is only interested in your wallet. Vote with your dollars if you are upset. Dont give PGI any money if you dont like the product they are putting out. Let PGI know that you are unhappy and find something that is enjoyable and worthy of your hard earned cash.

That's because those that post stuff like this refuse to accept that fact that the game universe doesn't revolve around them and theirs is not the only experience to take into account. Honestly, read through them some time. It's all a couple of screenshots and talking about how every game ends in a stomp and how PGI has screwed up, then whenever someone posts ANYthing to dispute that, they're attacked as a whiteknight or just completely ignored.

Fortunately, PGI seems to understand this and my games have been closer since the last known adjustment.

Agree 100% However, I do think the matchmaker is broken. I will maybe get around to my post on the subject sometime soon. And will explain then.

I think it needs more to balance on than just Elo which leads to a lot of the mismatches if I had to take a guess.

Yea definitely. Im sure you have seen that rather long "why elo doesnt work here" thread? If PGI is using the version of elo it seems like they are, well then it really wouldnt work in such a heavily team based game.

Still doesn't really give an example of another game doing it "right" the only ones that do are the ones that keep new players under some sort of new player protection until they learn the ropes. Other than that you still wind up with stomps when individual skill is involved
