I only PUG, and I got it after 7-8 matches, though I wasn't counting wins so I may have actually earned it in 5-6 and it just taken a match or two to show the alert. I'm sorry to hear about your merc group, but maybe you got too reliant on their help and are struggling to succeed on your own - that doesn't make it PGIs fault or anywhere near "impossible". You won't read this since you are quitting, but no need to blame others for it.

Dude, remember when I lent you that DVD? Well, you went and put it in your DVD collection (people still have those, right?) and proceeded to treat it like you own it. And now I'm upset because you scratched it up and didn't give it back, so we're no longer friends, and you're embarrassed and sad.

Trial mechs are "available for use." This is a critical difference from the term "owned," as you have pointed out. But this is off-topic, I'm sure they're working very hard on actually useful filters for our spiffy UI2.0. And when those new filters are implemented, I'm sure I'll be able to use them to see my shiny new CN9-A(C) along with all of the other 'Mechs I own without having to tiptoe around the trial mechs which I will be able to check out and try by filtering by "Trial."

To counter that, what about the first time players logging in who *only* have Trial mechs to use? For them, that's all the mechs that they own, so in that context it absolutely makes sense to have them show up under that filter.

I do agree on seeing a filter to remove Trial mechs, but I rank it as a pretty minor thing when you take new players into consideration as well.

I'm not going to look a gift horse in the mouth. Since I already owned a CN9-A, I got a free mech bay and some credits just for playing this game. Not a bad deal at all.

Agreed, default to an "Available" filter or somesuch.

I was late to find out about this, and didn't have much time to gather the wins i needed. I was worried i'd miss out, but i got my 5th win with 4 minutes to spare.

This promotion brought me back from a couple of months of inactivity. I had a great time participating. Thanks!

Personally, I've really enjoyed going with an AC/10 and 2ML. Great zombie build with a standard engine and the AC/10 can deal some nice damage, just remember to use your left arm/torso as a meat shield. Though once they fix SRM hit detection, I might go back to the original load-out.

Since I haven't played more than a few matches after UI2 was released, I spent more time trying to find where I'd left my engines and BAPs than it did to actually get those 5 wins. Still very nice promo and once I had my mechs sorted out I actually had fun palying. Even took the newly aquired Cent for a spin with AC2 and streaks scoring 3 kills and 650 damage so the mech can't be all bad. Even though I had sold it previously ages ago after just getting basics unlocked to advance YLW; I distincly remember hating every other Centurion and the grind to just get the basics being terrible. Then again that was back when lasers ruled the fields and hunchbacks were easily the best mediums.

PGI please extend this offer. Bring it back for the weekend maybe. I wanted to get on last night after not playing for many months but logged in to 43 patches. Needless to say there wasnt time to patch and get 5 wins in before this morning. Any of us that came back from a lengthy hiatus and missed out while patching would be grateful for a second chance.

just kidding... seriously though... PGI has now the ability to inject those offers more often, and as far as i can tel, they do so... maybe not this mech, but there will be other "achievements" for sure over the next time...

i give you an advice: just visit the forums on mondays, tuesday and friday evenings (server time) so you won´t miss out most things, even if you´re not playing

Thanks for the free mech, mechbay, and monies PGI. I already had a CN9-A, but just stripped it and sold it for a bunch of Credits. Now I've got a free mechbay to use towards my next mech purchase. Much appreciated!
